    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (3)

      • The word "Hey" was used 12 times during this episode.

      • It is even stranger that Felicity comments that Ben had to try out for the 800 meters to be a part of the high school team. They seemed to attend a relatively wealthy high school, and even at most small schools in states with severe budget problems, track is one of the few sports that will take all-comers. Perhaps she meant that he was competing in a run-off to represent the varsity at a particular meet. (In all likelihood, she wasn't an expert on sports, so she may not have known all the specifics--just that he was running in a try-out.)

      • It seems unusual that the track team would limit participation to two individuals in each event (unless they couldn't afford more uniforms). At many schools, anyone willing to attend practices can be a part of the team. These athletes do not go on most road trips, may be sent to smaller meets closer to home while the others are at an invitational (or used in developmental meets prior to major home meets), and are entered in dual meets as "non-scoring competitors." They are similar to junior varsity participants in high school. Also, it is rare for a runner to specialize in just one event. If the team did have limits on roster space, it would be more likely that they would take a certain number of distance runners based on overall ability, not just pick a couple of people for a specific race.

    • QUOTES (5)

      • Meghan: I replaced your stupid apple.
Felicity: With a tub of I Can't Believe It's Not Butter?
Meghan: It tastes so much like butter.

      • Felicity: You think I'm dating Noel to get an appliance?
Elena: I think you're dating Noel and getting an appliance.

      • Felicity: Who told you that?
Elena: That Halloween costume you live with.

      • Elena: Have you seen Felicity?
Meghan: She's probably in Noel's room, getting some.
        Elena: Getting some what?
Meghan: A little R.A. ass, or whatever.
        Elena: What?
        Meghan: She's doing the R.A.
        Elena: Felicity?
Meghan: I know. I didn't think she had it in her either.

      • Meghan: Man, I had you pegged for this uptight, no-fun, like, follow-the-rules, kiss-ass bore.
Felicity: Well, that's actually much closer to my personality.

    • NOTES (1)

    • ALLUSIONS (1)

      • Julie telling Zach "there's nothing wrong with pink" is a nice bit of funny (and likely intentional) irony, since Amy Jo Johnson played the pink Power Ranger.
