Episode Summary

EDIT
Avery leads Noel to believe that she slept with Ben. Noel gets the Seattle job, and asks Felicity to work as his assistant for the summer. Noel and Felicity trash the library as an idiotic prank, much to Richard's dismay. Avery is hospitalized after taking too many pills. Her roommate suggests that Ben is to blame because he didn't return her phone calls. Avery continues to rely on Ben. Ben confronts Noel about his attitude. Felicity overhears Noel accuse Ben of cheating on her. Ben denies this; he says that Avery kissed him, but it was meaningless. He points out that Noel is obviously trying to break them up. Ben asks Avery to confide in her friends and seek professional help, as he can no longer support her. Noel tells Felicity how much they will miss each other after he leaves. He kisses her. Meghan supports Sean's decision to have a bar mitzvah, until she meets the attractive female rabbi. She concludes that they should break up because they have nothing in common. Sean insists that they are great together, and asks Meghan to attend counseling with him. Elena pushes DeForrest away when he tries to kiss her during a study session. She is furious at herself for rejecting a great guy because of looks, and later goes to his apartment to kiss him. He asks her to leave, as he is not interested in pity.moreless

  • A fun and romantic episode.

    9.1
Both Ben and Noel are romantic and touching in this episode. Ben finally lets Avery know that she has no place in his life and puts Felicity first. Noel and Felicity have a blast toilet-papering the library and Noel makes a move on Felicity. Felicity didn't look very happy when Noel kissed her and it looks like trouble is ahead for those two but I think she will miss him if he moves away after graduation. Megan and Sean talk about breaking up because of their different religious backgrounds and I wish they would go ahead and do it already!moreless

    • Noel: Just tell me one thing, okay, one thing. Tell me that you don't still have feelings for me too.

    • Meghan: Couples therapy is crap.
Sean: Hello? You're a psychology major. You're supposed to believe in that crap.
Meghan: Yeah, well, I don't. And if I did, we don't need it.
      Sean: We don't need it?
      Meghan: No.
Sean: Okay, what couples do you know that break up and get back together every single week? Okay, what Goths do you know that date practicing Jews?

    • Sean: I hate to run but I gotta see a rabbi about a thing.

    • DeForrest: You do well on your test tomorrow. Break a femur.

    • Meghan: Don't you think that you could have told me?
      Sean: Told you what?
Meghan: That Rabbi Levin looks like a Hooters girl.
      Sean: Oh, come on.
Meghan: Now I know why you were so anxious to study.
      Sean: She's a Talmudic scholar.
Meghan: Yeah, who looks like she could give a lap dance.

    • Sean: Then, under Jewish custom, I'll finally be a man.
      Meghan: Finally.
