  • A very well-written episode, showing Felicity how it feels to have a stalker.

    8.8
Felicity finds a secret admirer in Todd, a childhood friend. After running into her at the supermarket over vacation, Todd decides to fly to New York with a mission: to kiss Felicity.

Todd sends her a huge box full of candy, trying to "rekindle [Felicity's] child-like sense of wonder". Felicity goes to Ben to get advice from someone who has been stalked before, and Ben agrees to talk Todd out of it. However, Ben finds out that he already knew Todd from a skateboarding group, and the two become friends. Even Noel and Julie are won over by Todd's charm, and Felicity cannot find support from any of her friends.

Felicity walks away in the middle of a date with Todd, and Todd follows her, trying to convince her. "Just one kiss!" Felicity flatly refuses. Todd, standing in the middle of the road, is hit by a bus.

This episode had some amazing writing. I could definitely feel a sense of alienation when all of Felicity's friends begin to take Todd's side, even her boyfriend, Noel. Even though I hated Todd, it was hard to watch him get plowed over by that double-decker bus.

    A very nice beginning to a two-part episode.moreless

    • Ben: Yeah, we had fun. We watched Enemy of the State on SpectraVision.

Also, SpectraVision "was a hotel-based system using industrial VCRs and Echelon's LonWorks for the backend (control and billing) and it lost favor to Satellite-based systems in the mid-1990s."

    • Noel: Okay, this is a problem, you know? And why is he sending you Dead Poet's Society?

Dead Poet's Soceity is a 1989 film starring Robin Williams as an English teacher at a 1950's boy's school who, while stirring up their interests in poetry and literature, inspires his students to face the adversities of family and censorship by accepting and making changes in their lives.
