Felix The Cat

Show Summary

Felix the Cat follows the offbeat adventures of that curious feline, Felix. The first episodes where shown in black & white silent cartoons before it's relaunch in the 1960s.

Throughout the 1920s, Felix was arguably the most popular of all silent-era cartoon characters. His image was mass-merchandised and used to sell dolls, baby oil, and many other products. He even had his own brand of cigars. Not only that, but he was also the first thing to be broadcasted on television. Sadly, he has be all but forgotten about by most.

The series is one of the best shows ever.moreless
  • This show is a complete really funny classic.

    8.0
This show is very funny. It's kind of better than Tom And Jerry.Well,it's silent and they don't say anything and they just let saying boxes in there, but they did had them later on this show. It's really funny and it's very old.I really like this show because it's very funny and I pretty much like it.Well,it's not that better than Looney Tunes or Tom And Jerry,it did better than Popeye or Betty Boop.Well,it's so funny that I give it a B because since Tom And Jerry was funny, this one is so funny that you can't hear what they say until one season.moreless
  • This cartoon is an absolute classic!

Felix The Cat had very unique episode plot lines, intriguing villains, a fantastic sense of Science Fiction Fantasy Adventure and of course, Comedy!

Who can forget such characters as The Professor, Poindexter (The Professor's brainy nephew), Rock Bottom, lantern jawed kid Vavoom who could blast through anything by just shouting Vavoom, and my all time favorite, The Master Cylinder, whom I believe is the greatest cartoon villain in the history of animated entertainment! To this day when we see certain gas station pumps, both my husband and I think they look suspiciously like the Master Cylinder!

Each episode has a wonderfully unique story filled with charm, intelligence and suspense.

And if you don't think Felix The Cat has left his mark on society, you're obviously wearing blinders! His clocks are still EVERYWHERE! Not to mention I can't get the theme song for the show out of my mind.

"Felix the Cat. The wonderful, wonderful cat. Whenever he gets in a fix he reaches into his bag of tricks. Felix the Cat. The wonderful, wonderful cat. You'll laugh so hard, your sides will ache, your heart will go pitty pat, watching Felix The Wonderful Cat!"moreless
  • Felix and Poin Dexter really made this a classic animated treat. The cat withthe bag of tricks. And waht a bag it was. Felix could do anything with that bag and it was very entertaining. A joy to watch and fun.moreless

Felix aws the cat that every littke boy and girl wanted for there own. Smart and sassy, but also very bright. He out whitted Poin Dexter and gave new meaning to waht magic was all about. His bag of trick would get stolen then reappear and he would create some magic and teach Poin dexter a thing or two. Lovable little cat. Can't get enough of that cat. Did not know the cartoon ended in 1953. The 48 to 53 episodes seemed like they were made yesterday. This is a classic.moreless
