Fidel is a 2002 television movie starring Victor Huggo Martin as Fidel Castro, Gael Garcia Bernal as Che Guevara and Patricia Velasquez as Mirta. Castro is one of the most notorious leaders in the world, his rise to power is a story of politics and revolution in Cuba. In 2002, Fidel received the nomination for Best Casting for TV Miniseries from the Casting Society of America. One year later, the television movie received nominations from the Costume Designers Guild Awards and the American Cinema Editors.
