    • Côte d'Ivoire Coach Sven-Goran Eriksson: We needed to score sooner to disrupt their organization and believe we could do it, but they kept their discipline. We created a lot of chances and I can't be negative about this match – on the contrary, in fact. We have regrets about the last 15 minutes of our game against Portugal. We should have taken more risks to score. When I accepted this job, it was very clear that it would be until the end of our World Cup and that's come today, but I'm very happy with how it went because the team improved over time and they showed that in all three matches. They've acquired discipline and organization. These are good players, they listen and they want to learn and work. Côte d'Ivoire have a great team and a very bright future.

    • Korea DPR Coach Kim Jong-Hun: I think this experience has been positive, and despite the three defeats we put in at least two good performances. This competition can help us lay foundations that we'll be able to build on to improve and return. This World Cup has been very useful to us. My players didn't stop working hard until the last minute of the final match.

    • Côte d'Ivoire Striker, Captain and Man of the Match Didier Drogba: We did everything we could to get out of the group, but the FIFA rankings were respected in the end. We had a hugely difficult group back in 2006 and it was the same again this year. We're disappointed. We have very good players in this squad and we showed in our matches that we can compete with the best teams. I have a few regrets, particularly about our game against Portugal; we could have scored. I'm very happy to have contested my second consecutive World Cup, like the rest of my country.
