The student body is in an uproar when the controversial S.A.T.T.Y. 9 tests are stolen by an assailant dressed as X's beloved mascot, Lobstee the Lobster. Who is the thief - a student who panicked during the test? Or was it Enid Quintara, outspoken anti-S.A.T.T.Y 9 activist? Fillmore and Ingrid are under the gun - they have only 48 hours to find the tests or Principal Folsom will force the entire school to take the tests again.moreless
  • A decent episode of a decent show.

I have to admit, I'm not a huge fan of this show by any means, and I was only watching this episode over summer vacation when it was raining and there was nothing else on. It was a rather amusing episode, though.

I was half asleep when I was watching it, so at first I thought I was hearing things, but I actually laughed out loud when I heard 'You guys are as sturdy as a Geodude using his harden attack'. I was a huge fan of Pokemon when I was younger so I caught the reference right away and thought it was brilliant.moreless

The episode begins by Ingrid's class taking the S.A.T.T.Y 9 test (a really difficult test that only Ingrid didn't seem to have any trouble with). When the tests are being transported in crated after class somebody in the school mascot's costume steals the tests. If the tests are not found in 48 hours Principal Folsom will have to force the kids to re-sit the test. Fillmore and Ingrid go to where the Lobster costume is stored to find Elliot (the person who wears the Lobstee costume) Chinese finger trapped to a pole. Fillmore and Ingrid have many suspects in this episode. They suspect Seth of stealing the tests because he was so nervous when taking the test but he turned out to be a cheater instead. Enid Quintara a strong protester of the test seemed like an obvious culprit but she turned out to not be the culprit.

    Culprit: Elliot

Motive: Elliot was Enid's secret admirer. Enid wanted to get rid of the S.A.T.T.Y 9 so Elliot got rid of it for her.

Clue 1: A piece of Elliot's boxer shorts were found by the window.

Clue 2: Elliot said that the culprit climbed through the window in the Lobstee costume but Fillmore discovered that it didn't fit.

Clue 3: Ingrid saw Elliot buying chrysanthemums, which turned out to be Enid's favourite flower. Then Ingrid found that Elliot was Enid's secret admirer.moreless

    • During the Act II title, the frame freezes and resumes after the title disapears. Whenever there's an "Act" title, action still continues.

    • Why would a Disney cartoon have a Pokemon reference when the rights to it are owned by Nintendo and the show airs on the WB?

    • Re: Pokemon quote - Director Chris Roman said because the creator [Scott Gimple] likes to add weird stuff like that in. I died laughing when I heard that line, it was great!

  • QUOTES (11)

    ADD QUOTES
    • (The back of Elliot's boxers are ripped) Ingrid: Umm, Elliot? The reason to wear boxers is to avoid mooning strangers. How about you get some new ones? Or maybe a big patch? Vallejo: People! Can we cover Elliot's butt please? (Vallejo turns to Fillmore) Your case, your call, what's next?

    • (Talking about how pointless the S.A.T.T.Y 9 is) Ingrid: Is there anything more pointless? (A girl walks by protesting the school mascot) Girl: Ban Lobstee the Lobster! Make X Middle School get a new mascot!

    • Vallejo: Fillmore! Principal Folsom just called! Did you destroy a school sandwich machine while chasing down the Lunch Bag Bandit? Fillmore: You ever try those sandwiches, Vallejo? (Vallejo swallows a sandwich.) Fillmore (dryly): Oh, of course.

    • Fillmore: Ingrid, you have an Abe Lincoln lunchbox. Since when you care what everybody thinks? Third: Hey, Abe Lincoln is cool--oh, good point.

    • Enid: S-T-O-P the S.A.T.T.Y 9!

    • Ingrid: I did not need that in my photographic memory.

    • Ingrid: Relax, sunshine. Just sit back and enjoy the ride.

    • Augie: I love Tartar sauce!

    • Sign over the school made by Ingird: Ingrid Third says: The real crime is the S.A.T.T.Y. 9!

    • Protestor: Stop crustacean exploitation!

    • Principal Folsom: The last thing I want to see is 15,000 kids having to retake this test.
      [Door to the pool opens]
Willie: We'll have to take it over?! The SATTY-9, or the Sensless Aptitude That's Tested Yearly, was the hardest test I ever had to take! It took three hours! I saw spots! [with French accent] I developed this spontaneous French accent! [normal voice] I can't retake it! I can't!
[Fillmore splashes water in his face]
