Here is a list of the episodes in the correct order. Please do not post on this thread - as editor I will eventually lock it. This is here so that we can provide a link from the front page summary for stations trying to find the correct air sequence. Thanks!

The correct order of episodes is:

    Serenity (parts 1 & 2)
    The Train Job
    Bushwhacked
    Shindig
    Safe
    Our Mrs. Reynolds
    Jaynestown
    Out of Gas
    Ariel
    War Stories
    Trash
    The Message
    Heart of Gold
    Objects in Space

I really do wish they had aired the episodes in this order. It makes viewing much more enjoyable.

Is there ANY reason WHY they do that?!

If you show a series in the wrong order, the whole thing loses quality. I think they payed much for it. You would pay more for more quality. Why would they degrade it like that?

I mean, it's like buying the newest Dell PC just for writing letters.

    Ok, now I'm overreacting...

For all episodes on TV.com (regardless of the show) the episodes are listed in the order they are aired. At least for all the shows I have as favs.

I doubt this is going to change.

I admit the series is much easier to follow seeing them in order.

That explains why such a good show was cancelled! I never put it together until now.

Not really, it was the combo, of no advertising, reordering the order, and showing it on different timeslots. I only saw one commercial for Firefly on fox and that was it. Didn't even know when it was going to air when it did, so I didn't even get to catch it.

Whereas I saw tons of ads for it, but it looked like a stupid Sci-Fi western and was by the Buffy creator. Those two things kept me away from it originally.

Then it turned out that I like Western Sci-Fi's

It also didn't help that they started the series by airing the train job first. It didn't make sense at all, as to why they were having a train job.

Cause Fox decided that the show would get better ratings if there was less drama and more action.

Serenity was a slow-moving episode with little action. One of my friends commented "That wasn't a pilot... that was a feaken movie." Not saying it's bad, but Fox just got anal and didn't show that one.

They showed Serenity just when they were about to pull the show. I had no problem with the order they showed the series. I was about to watch a sci-fi western by the creator of buffy and angel, nuff said. I was into whatever was thrown at me since i'm new to that genere so I didn't care.

I happened on it by accident one night and loved it, and it happened to be the first episode Fox showed (Train Job). We watched it till 'War Stories', then it disappeared from our programming. Next thing we heard, it was cancelled! Since then, We've at least got to see the missing ep's via... another medium... ;^)
