Show Summary

First on Four is a historical documentary that originally aired on Channel 4, a television station in the United Kingdom. This series consists of six thirty-minute episodes that were broadcast from September 1, 1996 to March 11, 1998, at a frequency of about once every three months. Each episode reviews the early career of a television celebrity from the United Kingdom using archival footage. The first episode is about Harry Enfield, an English comedian known for his roles in films like Perry Go Large and Kevin. Enfield also appears in various comedy sketch shows. The next episode of First on Four features Ruby Wax, a brash American comedienne who appears regularly on British television beginning in the late 1980s. Julian Clary is the subject of the third episode of this series. Clary began his career in the early 1980s as a stand-up comedian. The executive producer of this series is Clive Tulloh. The producer and director is Claudia Lloyd.
