Episode 2
AIRED:
As the funsters jump out of their crates there is something wrong. In Richard's place is a crateful of crockery, and he eventually walks on stage. Rich and Stu discuss the clipping from the Radio Times that Rich's mum showed to the children in her class. Stu comments that they would obviously be impressed with anything, being from Somerset. Peter announces that he has found a new stain, which is his new hobby. The first sketch concerns 'Urban Men' which we discover are men who run around the streets freely, dressed only in their underpants. A flash frame states that viewers can write in and request the pants used in the sketch, and people did. Back in the studio, Stu begins another rant about Patrick Marber, the so-called culture thief. They recreate the time that Rich was arrested for driving around shouting 'Curse you, Patrick Marber'. Patrick Marber is a comedian, writer and producer who has appeared with both Lee and Herring and Alan Partridge. The next sketch has Rich and Stu interviewing priests, and features the birth of a much used character on This Morning With Richard Not Judy, the 'Unusual Priest'. Peter shares this weeks recipe, which is for sucking milk through twiglets. He also shows us how to make a word processor using a child's typewriter, string and a TV showing teletext. Needless to say, this is not a fully operational word processor. This weeks parable features the visit of Jesus to Rich's house. He turns away various out of work TV presenters including Annabel Giles because he is expecting a visit from Jesus, who reveals that he was disguised as all of the people Rich turned away. Jesus (played by Alistair McGowan) is then thrown out of the house with a slap for his trouble. (The slap was cut). Stew talks to the audience about the fact that stand up comedian is the loneliest job, something that Rich disagrees with, citing the job of Ian Tracy, the deformed Thunderbird who loved in a cupboard on Tracy Island.moreless
