Five Mile Creek

Having the stage coach uprooted from Five Mile Creek was not a decision made by creative team. The lease on the location used for the way station was located near Sidney, with the sets constructed on private property near Terrey Hills. The lease expired and with a third season commissioned the creators, cast, and crew were left with a problem. It was decided the best option was to film in another location which provided a stable setup (the production moved nearly a thousand miles to Melbourne, Victoria, Australia) and to compensate for the actual location switch the storyline of moving on to Emu Plains was conceived.
