This first TV version of Alex Raymond\'s science fiction comic strip moved space hero Flash Gordon, along with his companions Dale Arden and Doctor Zharkov, to the year 3061 A.D. as operatives of the Galaxy Bureau of Investigation (G.B.I.), whose mission was to keep the cosmos safe. Among their adventures, the trio travel back in time to retrieve an Earth-threatening bomb, battle a hideous half-man/half-lion terror, and foil the menacing plans of the memory-sapping Mad Witch of Neptune. The program was produced in Germany and syndicated in the U.S. through 1953-1954.moreless

  • The 1st to be based on the Flash Gordon stories. Done in B/W 1950s is a great telling of the Flash Gordon's stories.

I picked two of the DVDs up at a Dollar Tree for .50 each. More tan well worth it. I will be looking for more and would pay more if I have to. Steve Holland is an okay Flash Gorden. At least he does not ove act as some have in this role. Irene Champlin is a doll as Dale Arden and a great role model. It is hard to find a sci-fi female that does not spend most of her lines running and yelling all the time. This Dale is the type I would like on any mission with me. Joseph Nash is a great DR. Zarkov.moreless
