Ming finds a way to bring water to Mongo by stealing it from a lake of Earth. Zarkov opens a rift and he goes to mongo with flash and the others. Once they get there they get distracted when Rankol's colleague activates Joe's mind control. Ming is trying to get the water to be distributed to the rest of mongo as he attempts to retain is dominion over the planet. This is a really cool episode, it shows the usual funny tone from the previous episodes. The writers did a good job maintaining the comedic aspect of the show. I can't wait for the next episode.moreless

This was a great episode. Its really gotten interesting. I wonder what is to stop Ming from opening the vortex again and taking another lake? The characters have really developed. I love the song that was played at the end. Does anyone know what the name of the song? blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blahmoreless

Another good episode for Flash the show has really found it's stride or a way to do what it does in it's capacity well. This time we get to see Mongo steal a lake to solve his fresh water problems. This was also a cause of revolt if Ming can't provide the water then he serves no purpose and rebellion can't be far behind. This gives rise to the deviant king Aura's brother which after a meeting with Ming walked away as a mortal enemy of his. We finally get the end of Joe who dies making sure the water distribution factory is blown up and breaking Mings hold on Mongo. Ming can still steal water since the machine that gives him this power couldn't be destroyed due to the toxic poisoning it would cause the planet. Good episode Flash may not be great or the example of scifi you hold up to others but it is increasingly better at what it does and it's level of entertainment.moreless
  • Better than the rest.

    **spoiler**

Finally an episode of this crud that I liked! Other than the terrible continuity when joe dies thanking flash for saveing him (something that didn't happen... how annoying), it was actually a good episode. Took a long time to get here, but I can only hope that things improve, and maintain this level, after the dross that has been churned out so far.

Basically, flash and the gang travel to mongo after ming steals a lake, and faff about being fairly ineffectual. Mean whilst, rankor has his own delemers. And suprisingly it works out as interesting.

Thumbs up to this episode. It's sad that it stands out soo much, given there are sooooo many bad episodes. But still, there's hope.moreless
  • This show continues to keep me entertained.

    9.0
This episode of Flash Gordon continues to keep fans interested in the task at hand and the ongoing revelations regarding the overall destiny of the main character. The plot is fairly believable, and the writers are doing an excellent job with its development. The only thing that was really odd to me what the fact that there was no mention of anyone on earth, (other than the main characters), actually missing the lake that Ming stole. You'd think someone else might have noticed that it was gone or that one of the folks in the drive-by media would have picked it up. But hey, there are a lot of scenes that just make me laugh, and the action ones are cool too. Overall, it was another good episode.moreless

    • Terek: (over the announcement system) I am Terek, leader of the Deviates. Today, I give all people of Mongo a gift as a gesture of friendship. I have found fresh water and have sent it freely and equally to all cantons.
Terek: Broke into your father's system and posted this by yourself?
Aura: I have many interesting hobbies.
      Terek: I am impressed.
Aura: So am I. You are very charismatic. Look how effective that is. All without you hurting anyone.
Terek: I thank you. And Flash Gordon. He will be an important ally in the days ahead.
Aura: Not nearly as important as I.
Terek: And together we'll be unstoppable.

    • Rankol: I dared to hope that Flash Gordon would deliver us.
      Priest: The prophecy said nothing
of Gordon. You made that decision.
Rankol: But you said so yourself. All of the signs seemed to point towards him.
Priest: You were wrong. We serve the prophecy. We do not shape or dictate it.
