Flash Gordon: Flash's Powers

For all of the Comic buffs out there I have a question when does Flash gets his powers to make him able to run as fast as Superman. Or am I wrong in asuming that he does not have powers and it is just his natural ability to run fast.

The one who can run as fast/faster than superman is the comic book character "the flash" this is Flash Gordon.

you are referring to the dc super hero "The Flash"
this show is about Flash Gordon, it's also a comic book but this flash doesn't have superpowers.

That's kinda like watching the movie Superfly all the way through and then
asking why he didn't use his heat vision , super strength, or fly

Ok the only thing "Flash Gordon" had was "A Man's Courage." the fact that he ran fast was just that he did just run.

"Flash" was just really, really, REALLY fast...

So no Flash Gordon doesn't have any superpowers just a pure heart and a man's courage.
