  • Two Friends, a Wedding and No Funeral?

    8.0
I thought this episode was very funny, especially Nick, Dale and the wedding. This show probably could have used more camp. Definitely worth a look.

  • I'm really scared for this show.

While this episode of Flash Gordon didn't suck, it made me realize that this show is heading straight into the "typical" zone. This episode was a comfort episode, it bordered filler. This is not the type of episode that this show needs. Lots of folks are already on the fence with this series. We need something that will keep us coming back. The way things are going, I'm really scared for this show. This is my first time seeing the opening credits. C'Mon, you guys couldn't put something reminiscent of Queen? This episode was cute enough. Nick was bit by a Joy Bug that came through a stray portal. What I enjoyed most was Nick break dancing on the table at his brother's wedding. His over happiness was a bit painful to watch at times but funny. Flash had to convince a group of cranky Amazon types for a cure... almost at the risk of his "family jewels". There were a lot of fun moments but there's still something with the chemistry of this show that's a bit off to me.moreless
  • I'm only watching to see how far the train slides from the point of impact.

Why oh why oh why oh why oh why oh why oh why oh why oh why oh why?

So your best friend is going to die very quickly if experiences any happiness what do you do? Strap him to a bed with intermittent low level electric shocks to keep them miserable? Maybe dose them up with some sort of 'bad time' drug? No! Of course not! You take them to a wedding where they are acting as best man without telling them what the problem is so they run off having a good time every other second! Of course you do!

Ugh... mostly cringe worthy, though I did chuckle occasionally so added a couple of points on to my rating.moreless
  • Departure from the norm

    8.0
This episode was pretty fun and action packed. We got to see a lot more of Mongo and the differences in it's inhabitants. Of course Flash gets himself into a ton of trouble and garners enemies throughout. However, the wedding scene was a terrific laugh riot. Flash's best friend is hilarious during his 'Joy Bug' illness. Of course in the end Flash saves the day by procuring the 'cure' for the Joy Bugs bite and again all is well with the world. I think this is really a departure from the seriousness of the threat from the Rifts and from Mongo, but it was a fun episode none-the-less.moreless
  • it's funny

    8.5
a rift opens up on earth and a couple of mongo bugs are accidentally transported to earth. nick gets bitten by one of the bugs and he gets sick. flash and baylin are forced to travel to mongo and acquire an antidote to the joy sickness that can end nick's life if they don't find it on time. finding the antidote is one thing, getting it is another. the tribe that has the antidote is not so keen on giving it to flash, but flash gets an idea to convince the tribe otherwise. this episode is fun to watch, this episode sort of centers around nick, but at the same time, flash and baylin are thrown into a dangerous adventure.moreless
