Very good, it won't last past 2 seasons, and probably shouldn't.

Agree, even though this show is pretty damn good I'd say it shouldn't go past season 2 unless they can make it really mind blowingly interesting

Are these long breaks a new thing in the middle of the the seasons?

I haven't really watched alot of tv for the past two years because I have been so busy but now I'm getting back to it. It feels like every show I'm watching has these long intermissions. What is the deal.

I've really been caught by surprise by this series, I don't like suspense usually, but the characters are intense and I want to know more ...

Networks make crazy decisions all the time these days. Look at how NBC gambled on Leno being able to dominate prime time. It fell through and its schedule is in shambles. A few years ago ABC took its most promising new show ("Commander in Chief"), fired its entire production staff, and turned it over to a new staff that turned it into a basket case. That ended its run of spectacular successes ("Lost", "Desperate Housewives", "Gray's Anatomy") CBS survives only by cloning its hits and killing originality (CSI, CSI Miami, NCIS, need I say more?). Then they blame all their troubles on "competition from cable".
