For God sake, why all writers for TV shows like to use Schrodinger's cat theory?
The first Schrodinger's cat is from The big bang theory, about year ago.
Then, it's in the Defying gravity, now, it's Flashforward, in Ep06.
Aren't people tired to hear this cat again and again?

It was used in science fiction way before TBBT began airing.

Its universal law, which can interest most of "common people" in the way because in no way the situation described can be "logical in common sense".

Its also one of main examples used to explain difference between quantum-mechanics/quantum-physics and normal ones.

Oh and no. The first time it was used on tv was Monty Python.

Schroedinger's Cat is commonly used in college physics classes to demonstrate the paradoxes of quantum physics. The TV shows are using them because that's how physicists talk when they are explaining the theory to laymen. It's not like they took some minor story and got carried away with it. What bugs me is that Simon messed up the story because he was trying to seduce the lady at the same time.

Your complaining about it being used three times over the span of a year?

I really didn't get the whole cat thing - am I think or what - and didn't see how it fits in the show.
