I liked the card game between Lloyd and Simon all though it was surprising to me that Lloyd won. I thought Joseph Fiennes did really well in this episode. I like that the writers have the audience question whether or not the flash forwards will come true. Genius.

I reckon the ring is what the people that didn't collapse during the flash forward, were wearing, just a guess anyway.

so, today was a card-intensive episode. we have:

    • Lloyd Simcoe doing yet another card trick for his son
    • Lloyd and Simon betting their futures on a poker game
    • Lloyd winning by manipulating said game.
    • Richard Jay "Ricky" Potash as the guy in the cliffhanger, taking the 6 rings. Ricky Jay is known as a sleight of hand expert, known for his card tricks (and storytelling)
I liked the episode, although there are some questions. Why did the ring-bearer have to die when handing it over to Ricky Jay? How can a ring protect the entire human body against some external influence like that beam weapon from africa? Who is the mole (there's always a mole) ?

Great episode. Picked up on it since the first one aired and have been enjoying it. This episode is defently one of the best ones. It really picks up the plot. We see the themes of fate being played around more. I loved how the government is killing its own people.(for the conspiracy folks) I hope it brings more elements that make the plot more interesting though(Like LOST bringing in science, religion, fate, etc.) I also hope to see more characters in the gray instead of the dull ordinary black and white. I also loved Charlies acting in this episode. I am really liking his character he plays. Keep it up!
