Ok...Frost just gave Mark directions to meet him face to face. He said and I quote "Turn right at highway marker 31 onto a unmarked dirt road." Now, Mark turned left, not right. Did the writers screw up? He sure didn't turn right....??

Wow... ridiculous! Is it just me or did they just insinuate in this episode's ending that the show will last 6 more years/seasons (up until 2016, possibly 2017)? As much as I like the show, I don't feel it has the quality and/or substance at this point to be asking us to commit for so long... At least Lost waited until it was a big hit and had 3 seasons on top to indicate it was gonna last 6 seasons...

I'll keep on watching the show as long as its decent, but man... way to spoil the fun by almost implying its a never-ending drama...

Seriously. When Mark gets to Demetri and sees the setup. He goes about trying to stop the gun from killing Demetri in a very roundabout way. How about putting on the safety and stopping the hammer with his thumb?

What's funny is that in the first wide shot of the forking paths board, seen right after Demetri is saved, the year for The End actually reads 2012 if you look closely, but then switches to 2016 when Mark "remembers" what he saw.

Pretty good episode overall, got off to a slow start but the pace, quality and suspense quickly picked up.

Quite possibly the best episode of this show so far. If you've read my previous posts, you would know that I'm not a huge fan of the cast, the writing or the acting. This episode, on the other hand, was pretty well done. It was intense all throughout, and some major plot points got moved along. The show could still use some work on the character development angle, but this episode was definitely a step in the right direction.

I would say that it is not the writers' fault (they came first), but the director's fault for not doing what the writers said, or changingthe line once he saw the terrain..

On the other hand, I don't understand this hearing bit. A prisoner is legally entitled to a habeous corpus hearing and there was no reason for the lawyer to use a feeble excuse to demand one, ergo no reason for the judge to chew her out. Meanwhile, the prisoner was dangerous enough to handcuff but not dangerous enough to be escorted by a guard?

Dude, this is Flashforward. I've learned to ignore the small problems and look for the good.

great, the series is story arc is supposed to continue to 2016 but that ain't gonna happen since the series is almost certainly getting cancelled, hopefully the writers can come up with a way, no matter how contrived of resolving the plotline by season's end.

He did turn right. Then, the GPS said to turn left, and he did too. I didn't catch the part where he turned wrong though.

Overall, this has to be one of the greatest episode. I guess the 2nd part of the show is better than the 1st.

I read somewhere that Goyer said that by the end of this season we will cheer for Mark, I think that he was referring to this episode. Because I was cheering, from the moment he started running and holding my breath. I started breathing when Demitri did. This episode was stunning, just great. Again answered some questions but opened so many more. Who is behind everything? What was the Frosts role? Is Simeon now the one that knows physics behind all of this? Why they didnt let him have the flashforward? How many ff did Frost have?
They have done such a great job with this show it is remarkable. And I dont thin they are so sure that it will have 6 more seasons, but I think that their assumption was that there is going to be season 2 for sure.

Wait, is it really getting cancelled?? Cuz it's getting higher rankings with every episode, it'd be a real shame to cancel it, I think it's going pretty well!!
Personally, I am really reaally starting to love it, an' I'd be VERY disappointed if it got cancelled!! =(

That's exactly what I was thinking and if you do the math, it should mean 6 seasons of Flashforward, just like Lost... But I did like this episode and the show seems to be getting a bit better imo

That's a really great great catch, what you have seen, as it is really hard to notice. Although I find this - how many seasons discussion - nonsense, it's based on a wrong assumption, 2016. 2012 would give two more seasons.

Flash forward is a great show and with episodes like this one and the alternate futures, it could last longer. That's my flash forward.

I'm maybe the most easily pleased tv junkie out there, but man, I'm loving this show. I practically cheered when John Cho lives. I would really love to see this show continues, it's getting more and more suspenseful by each episode.

Just a few thoughts on the show so far. I agree that the show appears to be picking up quite a bit from the first half of the season. It seemed that it took a lot of time to get set up, and we're now seeing the pieces moved around the board (to borrow some imagery from the show). I find it interesting that people's lives and experiences are starting to deviate from the flashforwards. Things such as the Somali's future, are no longer possible, which means that thousands of others who saw themselves at Abdi's rally will also not have the same future.

I was thinking about why this is now starting to happen. It seems that, in the first part of the season, people were convinced that their flashes would come true, and that there was no way to avoid it. Once the FBI agent killed himself to change the future of the woman he would accidentally kill, it made the news, and people started believing that the future was not set in stone. Now, as more and more people are believing this, more flashforwards will not come true. I like this aspect of the show, and it's some very thoughtful writing.

With regards to the show lasting six seasons, I thought that I had read somewhere that each of the show's seasons would play out an entire story and by the end of the season, we will know who caused the blackout and why. Future seasons would feature different characters in different situations in the same period after the blackout. I could be remembering this wrong, but if someone could correct me, feel free.

So far, my wife and I are really enjoying the show. It's not perfect, but it's good entertainment, and we're both looking forward to seeing how things play out.
