It sounds interesting and I'll be checking it out. Doubt it'll be 'the next Lost', though.

As far as high-concept, serial story telling style fiction goes I think it has potential.

This show is never going to be as internationally successful as Lost, that's for sure, but I do think it's gonna be great and I'm sure it'll do well if it's paired with Lost. From what I've read about it so far, this is definitely the new show I'm looking forward to the most next year.

I highly doubt it will be the next Lost. I mean if the blackout ends in the pilot then everything returns back to normal doesnt it? Nowhere to go from there really, then it becomes just a normal drama? Or at least thats how I understand its going to work, I'll be sure to check it out though. I'll give it a shot.

I only wonder if the show will take into account the thousands dead and injured people who was skydiving, going up or down staris, driving cars or pilots passing out landing a 747 and such things, after a world wide blackout, that would surely happen.

Lol, yeah. Like what about people who were already passed out drunk? Did they miss it? Or somebody who was defusing a bomb that had like a minute and a half left? What about high-rise trapese artists? Or someone who was trying to break the world record for staying awake the longest? Lol, endless possible disasters.

Thats actually what I love about lost. Never underestimates the intelligence of the audience, and each episode is important meaning you can't really miss one. VERY few shows do that....in fact Dexter is the only show I can think of, there might be one or two others. Thats why I'm so excited ABC is going highly serialized with a few shows, now I just hope it makes it for more than on season.

I think its a really unfair to compare it to Lost so early on and to be hailed as a replacement for Lost is a bad thing. It puts way to much pressure on the show, not to mention the network might expect Lost numbers right from the get go. I think the guy/gal who from ABC who came out with this idea made a HUGE mistake.

To be the next Lost we'd need at least 4 series. But they've forseen only 6months into the future, so just how many series can they fit into that time-frame ? Where does the series go when those 6months are up, unless they have another blackout.

The old Lost isn't even the new Lost. Lost is a parallel universe of weirdness adjacent to the God particle winking at a bubble Universe yawning. I do think the trailer had the air of a great mystery unfolding in a unique way. Each week, a member of society is probed and questioned for hints as to what is to come. Some of those members may have not even blacked out. And if an element of the supernatural is introduced correctly, this could be a terrific show, setting aside the simple fact of the entire human race blacking out and traveling through space and time is supernatural, by its very definition.
