Flashpoint is an emotional journey following the lives of members of the SRU (Strategic Response Unit) as they solve hostage situations, bust gangs, and defuse bombs. They work by utilizing their training to get inside the heads of these people in order to make them reach their breaking point (aka their flashpoint). Sgt. Gregory Parker (Enrico Colantoni) leads the elite team on their missions. The show is based upon the experiences of the real life Toronto Police Emergency Task Force. On August 26 2008, the show was renewed for a second season. The show originally aired on Friday evenings, but after episode 2 it swapped slots with Swingtown for the remainder of the season. Flashpoint is produced by Avamar Entertainment, CBS Paramount Network Television, CTV and Pink Sky Entertainment.

I never knew this series was on TV, and I'm a Canadian. This is one of the best cop show around. Better than NCIS or it's spin off.
Just as good as Criminal Minds which I wait for every week.
I hope this series has not been taken off the air.
I am so sick and tired of all these dumb pawn stars and auction hunters, swamp people...
Gees take those off and air and give us good quality series...........moreless

why don't they wear helmets on some of the situations? I know it's a small detail, but c'mon the bad guys have guns and there's no way they wouldn't be wearing helmets on every single situation.

I love the show...
It's great - Whoot whoot!

I get caught up in the suspense. You KNOW it's not real but, I find myself getting really involved :D

Not to mention that it's kinda fun knowing that it takes place in Toronto ;).

This show is one of the best written and acted shows I've ever seen. The combination of both is without equal. Don't know where they come up with the ideas for each show but keep it coming and I'll keep watching. Even have it recorded if I may miss part or all of it. Extremely suspensful. Great job everyone.
