Team one has one of their busiest days yet, they are busy with three separate calls the newest recruit will soon realize that joining the team is not without its challenges. For the new recruit Valentine's Day will be a very tough day.

Slow-moving and a bit dull at times was tonight's episode of Flashpoint, the opposite of the usual fast-paced adrenaline rush the show gives us. The moments all ended in anti-climatic fashion and while I bet they were going for chaos with the multiple situations of crisis that SRU had to respond to, what I got out of it was lazy writing as they only had to spend half the time developing each problem.

And the ending was really awkward, from the bizarre club they were in, to the odd flirtation between Gregory and the woman he helped. Too Grey's Anatomy for my liking.

It was not a downright terrible episode, but let's just say there have been better ones out there.moreless

A new Team Member and Valentine's Day - the busiest day of the year. Another fantastic episode

I loved this episode! The three overlapping cases worked well. I like the concept and always enjoyed the early CSI:NY shows which had two cases. We went from a jumper to two different kinds of hostage cases to a terrific end montage where we find out a bit about new Team One member Raf. The show ends with Greg going for a cup of coffee with the lovely lady whose life was saved by the team.

The third case seemed to be mostly about a mentally disturbed man, but the first two gave excellent insights on the human condition and how people end up doing the desperate things they do. While neither choice was a good one, hearing the stories of how the grieving widower and concerned mom ended up where they did were very well done.

This entire season has been simply fantastic and I'm eagerly anticipating the next installment.moreless
