One (of many) of the things I love about Flashpoint is how they show that we are whole people and not the sum of compartmentalized parts. As Jules said, everyone is biased by their personal experiences and we all bring who we are with us. As the old saying goes: wherever you go, there you are.
I know we all have different modes of behavior (e.g. at work, watching sports, hanging out with friends, etc.) that take precedence in different situations, but we are one person with one set of experiences that define who we are. And, we generally see the world our unique set of filters which can easily be off from what really took place. It is almost certainly going to be different from other people's perceptions of the same situation because of their uniqueness and experiences.
Jill was accusing Greg of poor and/or clouded judgment and of course she was in the same space, even worse. I've often thought that life is a mirror and the things we don't like or react to strongly in others are often in us. But, it's always easier and much less painful to look outward. Yet, when Jill knew the truth, she was able to accept it and complete her report without her personal biases in it.
I think that no matter how painful the truth is, in the long run, it is better to know it. I know I wouldn't want to be deceived on something like Jill was when it is someone that important to me as Brian was to her. Another superb episode!moreless
