  • Visually annoying

I tried to watch it, honestly, I tried. The jerky camera work had me averting my eyes so much, that it was basically an audio-only show.

It's the 21st century, and we have pristine HDTV. But somebody has persuaded the industry that shaky cam, jump cuts, and jitter is "Dramatic".

Let me disabuse that notion. It is NOT ENTERTAINING.

I cannot recommend this show, its director, camera work, or editing.

I watch shows to be entertained, not annoyed. This episode could have been enjoyable, if it was visually better.

I know we can't blame the cameras because STEADY CAM would not deliberately jerk the image. It takes a real professional to foul up the image.

    Bad TV.

  • An ending can kill an episode.

This was a really good installment of Flashpoint. Thought-provoking, relevant, exciting, it had all the elements of the show we have been accustomed to. Unfortunately, the weak ending killed it. Having a character come out of nowhere, flip the story upside down and deprive us of seeing a politician bleed to death on TV? Come on.

While still a good episode, there really were some drivel parts, where things seemed to drag on forever. And what happened to the six minute tape delay? Shouldn't that have led to the police being about six minutes late to getting there to stop Pat?moreless

    • Jules: Late night?

      Sam: You could say that.

      Jules: Blonde, brunette, or redhead?

      Sam: One of each.

Jules: Didn't know you had the stamina.

    • Cosgrove: It has taken us a lot of work to get you on my little show.

Malone: I'd hardly call your show little, Pat, you're an institution in this town.

Cosgrove: Oh, Pat Cosgrove, an institution. I don't know about that. But I think there are definitely some people who probably feel that I belong in one!

    • Spike: CJV Electronics. CJV was busted a couple of years ago. They were selling pirated operating systems.
Sam: How do you know that?
Spike: I know because I'm a highly-trained officer on the cutting edge of twenty-first century investigation.
Sam: I thought it was because you're a geek.
Ed: He's not a geek, okay? He's a geek with combat skills, that's why the ladies love him.

    • Jules: Can you believe Malone kept her secret?

      Sam: Why not?

Jules: He had a gun to his head, he could have been killed.

Sam: He was protecting his friend. I'd do the same.
