Some glaring WTF's in this one, including how and why a murder victim's family would be walking the cell blocks of a prison to exit the prison, following the most recent parole hearing for the murderer. And all of this just as a riot and potential break out is going down. I doubt that exit plan would meet safety standards in any prison.
WTF number two: how and where would prisoners be able to get their hands on a propane tank as the explosive source for a homemade bomb in the centre block of a maximum security prison?...
However, despite these viewing cringes and the very predictable storyline, its still a respectable episode. Roger Cross ("Anton") did a very nice job as the sheep in wolves' clothing in this case; the subject of the parole hearing whose youthful indiscretion landed him a long sentence ("long sentence" = another laughable scenario in Canada, unfortunately!). And of course, Ed Lane knew him when...damn, Ed has been around forever and knows everybody doesn't he?...
One of the weaker episodes in the entire series, but as I said, still respectable.moreless
A family who's at a prison to testify at a parole hearing gets taken hostage when a riot breaks out, and Eddie has a personal connection to one of the prisoners.
