A man so desperate to make the most of the final moments that the love of his life has that he's willing to sacrifice himself. The team works on pieces the puzzle together but aren't aware of the underlying motives for the actions. I loved Jules' offsite responsibility of digging to discover the truth. It shows the they'll do what's necessary to get the job done. I appreciate Laura's desire to choose how she leaves this earth as well as her desire to save Evan, even its from himself. That is true love. The team knows as cops they have a job to do, but they are humans that are full of compassion.moreless

    "We're cops, not judges."

Flashpoint is a show that often tackles moral and ethical issues, but more importantly handles them with respect to both sides. With a lot of other shows you could clearly be able to decipher which way the writers leaned toward in the area of euthanasia, but not with Flashpoint. I could not tell whether they believed in it or not, and that is the way it should be.

This episode was particularly adventurous because hostage negotiations did not even start until more than half way through the broadcast. The chase was interesting, but the story had some plotholes such as why the woman needed a wedding ring when she was dying anyway. I could understand her wanting to be at the wedding reception, but that part bothered me.

But otherwise there was nothing wrong with this. Another great episode of Flashpoint.moreless
