and makes a stellar work. Kudos to AJJ.
  • Another good episode.

    7.5
While this could not hold a candle to last week's incredible episode, this was still a great installment of Flashpoint. I could not believe how they manage to have three seasons full of episodes revolving around nothing but hostage crisis and still manage to keep things fresh.

Canada's best export is not only the best police show on TV, but it is one of the best shows on television period. As I have said multiple times the show is nonstop action and we networks realize this is what people want and not the boring relationships and filler storylines TV will be much better.moreless
  • Good episode but

    9.5
Compared to last week's episode, surely, it'd be hard to keep up but Flashpoint keeps delivering solid episodes.

The only con I've seen here is that the storyline was pretty obvious after we find out that it was not the ex but the lonely guy who had kidnapped the girl.

He is not hostile towards her, he keeps talking about his daughter. Sure, it was not obvious to the kidnapped but things were 100% clear for the audience the moment he started calling her by his daughter's name. Well, probably before that.

But anyways, like somebody said in a previous review, what keeps the show interesting is the constant shots of action without boring fillers and annoying relationship arcs.

    Keep up the peace, out.

    Cheers!moreless

  • TRIVIA (3)

    • Leah the new team member mentions that the team she was with prior to joining the SRU (team One) also lost a team member.

    • Goof: In this episode, the "Jules" sign on the women's locker room is removed and women replaces it. This is done because a new female team member is added to Team One. However, in Season 2, Donna Sabine was added to Team One as a temporary replacement for Jules and the sign was not removed. When Jules came back to work, Donna went to Team Three, yet the "Jules" sign remained outside the locker room. Since all the SRU teams dispatch from the same building, it seems odd that the sign wasn't removed earlier.

    • Song at the end of the episode is Now The Struggle Has Name by the Tragically Hip, from the album We Are The Same.

  • QUOTES (5)

    • Spike: (listening to his sound equipment) Vehicle approaching.

      Ed: Talk to me Spike.

      Spike: South-southwest from you.

Ed: Is it our red Nebraska?

Spike: Can't hear the make and colour, its definitely an old car.

    • Judith: He discharged himself. When he did, he wouldn't talk to me, wouldn't touch me. He moved his trailer to the woods, spent all his time there. I filed for divorce a year ago.

Greg: Sounds like he never got better.

Judith: How could he, living with the guilt of what he did?

Greg: What do you think he did?

      Judith: You tell me.

Greg: You think he killed Wendy.

    • Greg: The ex-wife, she's convinced that the father is responsible. You're telling me there's no reason to suspect this guy?

Sergeant: No, I investigate a 100 missing person cases a year, a lot of them kids. Where there's no body, there's no closure. It wouldn't be the first time I've seen parents lose it, start pointing fingers at each other.

    • Greg: Dale didn't do anything to Wendy. He's doing what you're doing now.

      Judith: What'd you mean?

Greg: He's looking for someone to blame. The only thing in this world worse than losing a child is not knowing what happened to her. You're blaming Dale because that's an answer and Dale's blaming himself because that's an answer too. But it's not the right answer, because neither one of you are to blame. I'm sorry that Wendy is gone, Judith, she is gone, and that is what you need to start dealing with. Now, Zoe and Dale, they're gonna come home safely. When he does, he's gonna need help. You can help him, you can be there, if you're willing.

    • Jules: But I do know what it is like to lose some body, who had absolutely no business dying, and not to have a chance to say good-bye, and to be disgusted with people for just walking down the street like the world is the same place, that if you have just done something different, he still might be here...

  • ALLUSIONS (1)

    • Hah! Anybody notice the allusion to the movie Another Stakeout (1993) starring Richard Dreyfuss, Emilio Estevez, and Rosie O'Donnell? Jules in the witness's apartment, trying to get intel, and the rottweiler keeps barking and lunging at her and Leah. Jules says the witness needs to go with them to help Spike describe the getaway car, but the dog has to stay. Jules says, "Stay, Archie." The dog immediately shuts up. Hilarious.
