Another clever premise behind tonight's Flashpoint episode. A young internet junkie with a loyal following decides to give his fans a show by what he thinks is saving a little girl.

A lot of action here, a nice Law and Order twist late, and of course a powerful speech by an SRU member, this time Jules, in talking down the crazed gunman. Everything you want from Flashpoint was there, and this was yet another strong episode from this program.

I also liked the stuff with Sam and his sister. More scenes outside of the workplace could benefit this show I think. But good episode, keep up the good work SRU!moreless

    • Jules: Hey, your sister.
Sam: Aah, she wants to belong somewhere, anywhere she can flash that smile and get what she wants.
Jules: And that pisses you off.
      Sam: Ah, you think?
Jules: Because you've worked your ass off for everything you've got and she's actually enjoying life. You're a little jealous.
      Sam: Oh, jealous?
Jules: I'm just saying. She grows up on a military base, her brother is the poster boy for perfection, she's just trying to figure it out, make her own rules. Maybe you resent her freedom.
      Sam: You profiling me?
Jules: No, I'm having a conversation.

    • Natalie: So, Jules.
      Sam: Yeah.
Natalie: OK, look, this is probably not my place. I mean, who am I to say this, but, the way I see it, Sammy, you got this woman and you got this job and sneaking around, it's not much of a five year plan. (Sam nods) Do you hear what I'm saying? You, you have one life. What do you want?

  • NOTES (1)

  • ALLUSIONS (2)

    • The Logo for "Jamie D" is very similar to the "Laughing Man" logo from the Japanese Manga/Anime series "Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex". The only differences are color (Red for "Jamie D", Blue for "The Laughing Man"), and the JD Salinger quote from the "Catcher In The Rye" encircling the inside of the outer ring of the logo from GitS:SAC.

    • In this episode the thief is compared to Robin Hood several times. Robin hood is a hero and outlaw in medieval English folklore who robs from the rich and unworthy and gives to the poor.
