  • The Fortess, March 6, 2009 episode: how can I find the music playlist?

    "Great"
One of the best episodes I have seen yet. Very well written, I could not take my eyes off of it. The actors seem so real and natural, very beleivable. I think I read that these episodes are filmed in Canada, is that correct? I am surprised about that. I must have missed something in the show that lets me see they are in Canada. No matter where it is filmed, it is one of the best shows on TV now. I do look forward to my Friday nights. I would like to know the name of the last song played at the end...anyone know it? How can I find the music playlist?moreless
  • Exciting....

You felt the tension from Irina from the beginning and that she really was being forced into the situation. Sam needs to get over that fact that there's a new girl on the block. I loved the challenge that the team faced with the state of the art security system and the big expensive house. What took me by surprised was how brutal it got so quickly. I loved Parker going literally going nose to nose with owner of the van. I really loved the tension when they chased Misha through the house while holding the boy. You almost fell the intensity of the situation. I love the razzing Ed and Parker shared about the new girlfriend but you also felt the friendship when Ed offered support when Parker second guess' his choices.moreless
  • SRU responds to a robbery.

I have been reading reports that Flashpoint is on the bubble for next year. Its numbers aren't great, but it is on Friday and it is a Canadian show so production costs are shared. Hopefully the show returns next season as it is definitely one of CBS' finest offerings.

The great thing about Flashpoint is that it is not formulaic at all. The show consistently fights against the norm, as evidenced here with the death of one of the hostages. This episode was a great, well-written story that played out to a fine ending.

The acting is also always top notch from both the stars and the guest stars. Nothing is overdone and artificial, everything just flows smoothly whether they are discussing the Manny Pacquiao fight or how to save the lives of two children.moreless
  • The song is 'Weightless" by Black Lab

I found the song using www.heardontv.com :) I do wish this site would include a music playlist though.. Last nights show was a good one for sure!! I like that the show does'nt wade through a bunch of stuff before getting right to the point. I like that it moves right along. Is Jules coming back? I have to wonder with them adding the new girl.
I did'nt know the show was filmed in Canada either.
i've never noticed if they specified a place when the beginning credits started rolling..
Next weeks show looks to be a good one also..
ok I'm done.. lol just wanted to give the previous poster the name of the song :)moreless
  • Is the Nanny a hostage or is she with the bad guys?

    9.0
    "Superb"
The team is called in when a bunch of guys with guns take over a mansion loaded with high tech security features. Among the hostages is a neighbor and two kids along with their nanny. Parker has to find out what - if any- the nanny has to do with what's going on if the SRU is going to get everyone out alive. The fact that the hostage takers have control of the security system isn't making their job any easier.
I thought that this episode was excellent. It was intense and action filled which has become a signature for the show. I hated Misha because I could tell pretty early on that he was playing Irina, and of course every time he used force he blamed someone else. The team of course was amazing-loved Spike in this one. It was kinda weird seeing another female besides Jules on the team but she did ok. The ending with her starting to bond with the team and Sam's reaction to it was wrenching. I love this show and I hope that they keep up the good work.moreless

    • Wordy: Boxing? Man that is so twentieth century. Lewis: Better than watching The Lion King. Spike: Hey, I took my nephew, OK? I'm a good uncle.

    • (over headsets) Spike: Okay, the system's divided into sectors so we can shut them down one sector at a time. So as soon as the ninjas go through sector one, we bring it back up, then we go to the next, and then we go to the next. Greg: Before they realize the sectors down? Spike: That's the theory. Greg: I'm not asking for theory, can we do it? Spike: Yeah! (covers ear piece and whispers to Lewis) theoretically.
