Th ending here was fairly predictable and yet the way it was done still got to me - I loved it and shed a tear or two in the process. I can't think of any specific thing that makes this episode stand out, just that entire show was beautifully written and acted. The thing that stood out for me was how much pain and destruction one person can cause.
First is one of the kidnappers who betrays Mrs. Stearns (fantastic acting performance by Linda Thorson by the way) and is responsible for the whole scheme in the first place and second is the late Mr. Stearns, who out of spite and an unwillingness to forgive, turns mother against daughter and keeps them apart for decades.
The side story that has been going on for a few shows now: Wordy's secret health issue of some kind. It was a good conclusion and I expect that next week we will finally find out what is going on with regards to the shaking hands that were highlighted in last season's finale.
Flashpoint is, I think, an all-around fantastic show and I have been really enjoying the start of Season 4. I think it's the best yet.moreless
