Taylor: What's going on here? I mean, with us? Jackson: Is something going on? Taylor: Give me a break, guitar boy. Jackson: Look after we crashed things were pretty clear - food, water, fire, shelter, everything else is just static, you know? Lately things have just been getting, well, confusing. Taylor: Melissa? Jackson: In part, but, I don't know, it's more than just relationships. Taylor: So what is it? Jackson: I'm still trying to figure that out. Taylor: Tell me when you do?
Melissa: I'm not mad at you. Jackson: Yeah, well, you should be. What I said before wasn't exactly.. fair. Melissa: But I get it, this isn't real life, nothing that happens between any of us here is real. Jackson: See, but it is, for now. Melissa: But we're all doing things we'd never do at home. I mean, would you even look twice at Taylor if you weren't stuck on a beautiful tropical island with her? Don't answer that. Jackson: Mel, I don't know what's going on between Taylor and me. Melissa: Stop, okay? You don't owe me an explanation, just because I have feelings for you doesn't mean you have to feel the same way. Jackson: But, I do. Melissa: I take it back, I don't get it. Jackson: Yeah you do. We are all just scared and looking for a little, I don't know, security. Melissa: So, I give you security? Jackson: You are my best friend here, Mel, and you're Nathan's friend too, and he's into Daley, Daley's annoyed by Taylor and she looks after Lex, and there's a hundred other relationships, good and bad, just things change so fast that none of it really matters beyond the minute that it happens. Melissa: So then what does matter? Jackson: Finding a way to get home and back to reality.
Taylor: I know! We'll let it go so he can lead us to his friends! Lex: It's a chicken, not a homing pigeon.
