  • Trivia

    • In the episode 'Mugged' Murray warns Bret and Jemaine to avoid a drive by.

    • Director Taika Waititi had previously worked with the guys before. Taiki, Bret, and Jemaine all had a role in 2004's Futile Attraction. Then later he directed Jemaine in 2007's Eagle vs. Shark.

    • We find out in this episode that Murray is married but currently separated. He also still wears his wedding ring.

    • Bret and Jemaine's friend Dave is (East) Indian, which explains the Samosas and Gulab Jamun at his party in Episode 1.

  • Quotes

    • Sinjay: Hey, New Zealanders!
      Jemaine: He's out there!
      Sinjay: New Zealanders are unhygienic!
      Jemaine: That's a stereotype.
Sinjay: Hey, what are you guys doing? You, uh, you bungee-jumping up there?
      Bret: No.
      Jemaine: No.
      Bret: No, we're not.
Sinjay: Hey, New Zealanders all have tartar on their teeth!

    • (The Conchords are trying to figure out how to get back at the racist fruit vendor)
Dave: You know what you could do: inject strychnine into a piece of his fruit. Then, when a customer dies, the CIA will trace it back to the vendor. He's going straight to the big-house. Alcatraz.
Bret: Yeah, I don't really want to kill anyone, though, Dave.
Dave: Why not? Haven't you seen Escape from Alcatraz? It wasn't easy, bro. Forget about it.
