  • Best episode since the series opener. A Glockenspiel? Hell, yes. The songs in this episode were worth the tune in alone.

How many times is Brett gonna quit the band? How many sandwiches can Jermaine take to the face? Am I the only person who laughed from start to finish in this episode?

Every song in this episode was slapstick silly. You've got to love the Glockenspiel used in Bretts love song. Maybe the true reason why this episode stands out is that Murray has become funny? Short shorts, a rotunda tour, contradicting his own message with a hilarious side comment. Murray is such a fool but you've got to love him. Each character was cemented in their role in this episode. And finally we've all learned that Love is the same as tape.
  • Bret's girlfriend gets between the band.

If Flight of the Conchords produced more episodes like this then they may have gotten nominated for an Emmy for best comedy. Unlike previous installments there was a plethora of jokes in here, and all three characters (Bret, Jermaine and Murray) were on top of their game. The scenes with Jemaine going with Bret on his dates were classic as was the corresponding conversation back at the apartment. The songs were not as distracting or irritating as usual and did not interrupt the flow of the episode at all. One of the best examples of The Flight of the Conchords and one that makes me interested in Season 2.
