Food 911 follows chef Tyler Florence around the country as he helps people solve their food problems. Each show takes place at the home of the person Mr. Florence is helping. That helps to keep the show fresh instead of having a chef in the same studio. The shows revolve around one particular dish that the guest has trouble making and Mr. Florence gives tips on how to make it like a pro and usually adds one or two accompanying dishes for a complete meal.
This show is great, as it shows helpful tips and hints on how to prepare food that we usually prepare at home, and give it a sort of like a gourmet touch. Simple porkchops can be made into a flavorful succulent meal, that most of us may not think of. Definitely a treat to watch.
Although there are some good recipes on this show from time to time, the host leaves a lot to be desired as he seems to be an absolute control freak who doesn't come off as charming or even helpful, just rude and condescending.
If you're going to have a self proclaimed food or cooking expert go out and help the common house cook, they need to be more amiable and flexible instead of down right obnoxious.
