(on the postponement of the Sunday Night game)
Bob Costas: This game has been postponed, not so much because the conditions are unplayable – we've seen NFL games played in more challenging and difficult conditions than this – but because of all the public safety concerns, people coming to the game and then leaving the game.
Al Michaels: It's all about public safety.
Cris Collinsworth: My question is, what is the precedent that comes out of this? What do we take forward? Does this now mean that every time there is a forecast for 8-10 inches of snow we cancel the game, we don't play playoff games, potentially, we don't play (the 2014 Super Bowl) in Giants Stadium? Going forward, I guess, the cities involved have some control over whether football games are going to be played or not.
