Erin, Kelly and Paige had the big old mansion to themselves and anxiously awaited their next dates with Rob. What they didn't know was that Rob now knew their million-dollar secret. Rob was also in for another surprise. Jordan told Rob that if he could convince the winning woman to choose him over the cash, Rob would be rewarded with a million dollars himself. Rob was skeptical, but liked the chance to get both the love and the money. However, if the girl chose the cash, Rob would leave with neither love nor money. Confused? That's okay, things are about to get cleared up. Rob told Jordan that if he was money-oriented he never would've become a public defender. Bottom line, Rob wants to wind up with the girl he thinks is right for him. But on the other hand, maybe he should try for the girl that likes him the best in order to secure the cash. Jordan left Rob to ponder his strategy. It seemed illogical to Rob that a girl who'd only gone out with him four times would pick him over a million dollars. Rob took a peek at the million dollar checks made out to Paige, Kelly and Erin and tried to think of what to do next. Each of the girls prepared for their "24 hour" dates. Erin was first and joined Rob on yet another airplane - this time a private jet. She picked up on Rob's nervousness immediately, but naturally had no clue what it was about. Rob, meanwhile, was desperately trying to figure out who to trust and what to do. The plane landed in Santa Barbara to light sprinkles and the two made their way to the hotel. Back at the mansion, Paige and Kelly discussed how to tell Rob their little secret. Kelly felt that since Rob didn't know about the money (or so she thought) that she didn't think she was necessarily lying by not revealing it. Up in Santa Barbara, Rob and Erin were rained in so they made a fire and played Scrabble. That evening, they went out to dinner. And that's when Erin slipped her foot into her mouth! She and Rob were discussing travel, and Erin said "whichever girl wins is taking the other girls to Vegas." Oops! A comment that might have normally been shrugged off by Rob now had significance. Rob didn't like the fact that she used the word "win." Erin instantly back-pedaled and said "you never need too much of an excuse to go to Vegas!" Meanwhile, Erin definitely sensed an increase in tension. Back in the cozy hotel room, Rob decided to put Erin on the spot by asking her questions about what would happen after he made his choice. Finally, Erin leaned in for a kiss - then when off to her own room to sleep. Bummer! The next day, Rob and Erin returned to find Paige waiting in the limo for them. Erin handed Rob off to Paige and took off on her own. While Kelly and Erin compared notes at the mansion, Paige and Rob endured a silent limo ride until Rob posed a question. He asked Paige who she thought was the most sincere out of the three remaining girls. Paige told Rob that she was the most sincere. When they arrived in the Calistoga Valley in Northern California, they both seemed to relax a bit. During a horse-drawn carriage ride, Paige admitted she might never be able to go on a "normal" date again. Later, Rob asked Paige about a diamond ring that she wears on her engagement finger. Paige explained that she gave herself the ring as part of her commitment to celibacy. She wouldn't take off the ring until she fell in love. Rob didn't really have a response. Soon, they were in the basement of one of the wineries enjoying a romantic dinner. After their first toast, Paige said she needed to tell him something. Would she spill the beans about the million bucks and therefore forfeit it? Would she pull off the ring and lunge across the table at him? No. She told him she was extremely nervous about getting her feelings hurt and was holding back around Rob because of it. Rob felt the same way and responded with understanding. Back at the mansion, Kelly recounted to Erin a discussion she had with Paige about what they'd do with a million dollars. Kelly had ticked off a list of designer stores she'd drop in on: Gucci, Dior, Louis Vitton, etc. Paige had said she'd buy a new Hermes scarf. Kelly thought that was kinda funny. Erin seemed to miss the joke. The next day, Rob and Paige kicked off the day with a hot-air balloon ride. Mid-way through the ride, Rob noticed that Paige didn't have her "promise" ring on. When he asked her about it, she wanted to talk about it later. So, later, after the balloon ride, Rob brought it up again. Paige turned to Rob, looked him in the eye and admitted that she was falling in love with him. Yikes! Rob had no immediate response, but I'm guessing it was a really long limo ride back to the airport. When they returned, Kelly was waiting on the tarmac to whisk Rob off on her date. Poor Rob hasn't had one day off to catch his breath! Paige returned to the mansion and sort of stayed to herself. Wearing her sunglasses in the house was the first sign that something was up with Paige. Paige and Erin compared notes on Rob's weird behavior, but couldn't come up with a reason for it. Elsewhere, Kelly and Rob flew to Telluride, Colorado. Rob tried to get Kelly to dish on Erin and Paige, asking her which girl he should get rid of next. Kelly wouldn't name names, but advised him to get rid of them both at once. They arrived to a rustic cabin in the middle of a snow-covered wooded area. They went snowshoeing and smooched as snowflakes swirled around them. Later, at dinner, Kelly felt more in her element than she did at the bowling alley. Rob, meanwhile, was swimming in questions about Kelly and the girls' motives. He asked Kelly what she thought. Kelly said that the girls who had mentioned they weren't feeling a connection with Rob are all gone now. Rob was liking Kelly's sass and style; especially, when she showed up at the hot tub in her bikini and black, fuzzy après ski boots! Hubba, hubba. He kept referring to her as "devilish", but he meant it in a good way. Rob asked Kelly what she thought it would be like to be dating each other in the "real world." Kelly said she was total open to a relationship, even if it had to be a long-distance one to begin with. Then there was more kissing and the hot tub wasn't the only thing heating up! Once Kelly was back at the mansion, Paige freaked out even more once she heard the details of Kelly's date. Paige excused herself and dashed off to write Rob a letter. Everyone primped for the last official elimination ceremony. Paige came downstairs first this time and handed Rob her letter. In the note, Paige tried to reassure Rob that she's meant every word she's said to him over the course of the show. Kelly came down next, wearing a sexy red dress. She wished Rob the best regardless of his decision. Rob seemed perplexed, torn between any feelings he might have for the girls and the suspicion he now had about their motives. Erin came in next and told Rob that "out of the blue" he grabbed her heart. Rob's first elimination since learning the million-dollar secret would undoubtedly be his toughest so far. He called Erin down first. Rob thanked her for her comments moments earlier, about him "grabbing her heart," and asked her to stay. Kelly and Paige remained. Would sexy Kelly or chaste Paige be in the next cab ride home? Rob called Paige's name and she knew. He explained that he had a great time with her in Napa Valley and appreciated her passion for life, and that he wanted to see where it would take them next. Wow. Both Paige and Kelly seemed surprised. Kelly came down next to hear Rob's explanation. He said that ultimately he felt a stronger connection with the other girls. Kelly was a champ and told Rob he had two amazing girls left. She wished him the best of luck and went to the secret room to burn her million-dollar Dior dreams.moreless
