Two Down, Two to Go!
AIRED:
Part one of the FLOM finale! Two out of the final four are eliminated! Breakfast was spent on money matters. The Final Four tried to figure out the value of Rebekah's and Rachel's checks. They knew PJ was worth $50K and that Andrea was down to $250K. After breakfast Jordan met the ladies in the study. They were seated facing their portraits…and their checks. Jordan revealed that none of the remaining four were millionaires. However, he also revealed four new mystery checks and told the ladies they would each have the chance to swap their existing check for a new one. Two of the four new checks were worth $1 million, the other two were worth $1. Neither the girls nor Preston would ever know the value of the new checks. It was one more chance to level the playing field. Plus, if a woman chose to swap her check, she would learn her previous check's value. Rachel was randomly chosen to decide first and of course she swapped. She soon learned that her old check was only worth $1, which reassured her about Preston's intentions. Andrea, on the other hand, was annoyed because Rachel now felt that much more confident about Preston's feelings. Andrea was up next and was faced with a tough decision. She already had $250,000, which was a lot of money. However, she decided to swap anyway. Rachel thought she was an idiot for swapping. PJ, who had a $50,000 check already, also decided to swap. That left one final check for Rebekah. Although she kept saying she wasn't there for the money, Rebekah also swapped. When her previous check value was revealed to be $1, it did not thrill Rachel! Rebekah, however, was happy and relieved to know that Preston had kept her around for her personality and not her net worth. As a final surprise, Preston arrived and joined the ladies! Jordan told Preston that the ladies have known almost the entire time that Preston knew their check values. He also let Preston know what had just gone down with the mystery checks. Preston's advantage was OVER. With money almost completely out of the picture, it was time for the overnight fantasy dates! Rebekah and Rachel packed their bikinis and were whisked off to Cabo San Lucas with Preston. The girls went upstairs to pack and both were a little put off at having to "share" a fantasy date with another girl. Rebekah said in an interview that her impression was that Rachel didn't think she had any competition. Soon Preston arrived to pick up the girls and in the limo ride they discussed the check values. He called Rebekah and Rachel his "dollar girls." In an interview he said that he hoped they both now realized that he had a real interest in them. After a few minutes, Rachel blurted out that with everything that's been going on it makes the girls not trust Preston as much. She brought up the fact that Preston told her on one of their first dates that he didn't drink, yet she found out that he and Rebekah had champagne on their alone date. Uh, Rachel, what is your strategy here? Is it to make things totally awkward on the way to Cabo? If so, good job! Rebekah didn't appreciate being dragged into it either. Hola, Mexico! The trio arrived at a gorgeous beach house and Rebekah instantly perked up - the drama of the limo forgotten. After lunch, they all hit the beach for some fun in the sun. Preston and Rebekah were total goofballs and laughed it up in the water and on shore. Rachel, however, was a bit pouty and said she felt like a third wheel. Jealous much? At one point, Preston even said "Jeez, Rach." Like, lighten up! Then, Preston chose Rebekah to go for a walk down the beach, leaving Rachel to stew by herself. Preston said Rebekah was a genuine person and told her she was "amazing." However, Preston was a gentleman and also went for a walk with Rachel. He asked her if she totally didn't trust him. She tried to clear the air with him and apologized for her earlier intensity. Later, Preston went up to the house to get some drinks for the ladies and discovered a letter addressed to him. The letter revealed that Preston would have a romantic evening with one of the girls, but that he had to send the other girl home immediately. Ouch! Now logic would tell us that he would keep the girl he'd been having a great time with (Rebekah) and send the sourpuss (Rachel) home. But reality shows are NOT logical! Preston sent Rebekah packing! He pulled Rebekah aside and gave her some lame explanation. Rebekah later said (in tears) that it was a "slap in the face, because the whole day Rachel was being miserable and no fun." Preston, still strategizing, said he had to pick the girl he believed was "sold" on him. Meanwhile, back at the mansion, Andrea and PJ were having girl talk out by the pool. They worried about the fact that Rachel and Rebekah had dollar values and still made it this far in the game. Preston must really like them both. Then, much to their surprise, Rebekah arrived home alone. Andrea and PJ commiserated with Rebekah while dining on (what else?) ice cream! Rachel and Preston enjoyed a very romantic evening in Mexico. Preston said he was still concerned about all of the girl's intentions, which surprised Rachel. She said "can't you tell who is sincere and who's not?" Preston continued fishing, asking her if she thought every girl was sincere. Rachel rolled her eyes and said, "no." Soon it was off to the hot tub for smooches. Rachel wanted to be sure not to get too caught up in the romance of it all, but you'd never know by her actions. She said she was still weighing love versus money! The next day, Preston returned Rachel to the mansion and picked up PJ and Andrea. They jetted off to Lake Tahoe for a wintry play date. At the Heavenly Ski Resort the threesome enjoyed some quality time. Andrea said she was trying to play it cool, but also seem interested in Preston. Preston pulled her aside first and tried to get some dirt on Rachel. Andrea tried to convey that Rachel was in it for the money, without actually saying Rachel's name. But they both knew who they were talking about. Andrea also mentioned that she wasn't the only girl that felt that way. Next in the hot (or cold) seat was PJ. Preston asked her which of the girls had been dishonest. While PJ wanted to spill all, she also didn't want her words to reflect badly on her own character. She did tell him that she loved Rebekah, but when it came to Rachel she was more diplomatic. PJ said that Rachel was very outspoken and sometimes didn't think before she spoke. Later, the three of them came upon a picnic set up in the snow.moreless
