  • I felt sorry for Mac in this episode.

In Bye Bye Nerdy, Mac was trying to look cool when he was going to school, but it didn't come out well. His classmates were making fun of him that he just got that coolnes from magazines and television ads, which made him a nerd. Then, the coolest kid in the school, Jamez Withazee (I think that's how it's spelled) explains to Mac that saying that he's not cool makes him cool. But at the end of the episode, Jamez thought that Mac was not cool when Bloo came. Then all the kids were laughing at him and Mac is a nerd again.

I felt very sorry about people making fun of Mac in this episode. This is why I didn't give this a good rating.
  • Well, humor was just average. Tim McKeon's first work... but not great.

In this episode, Bloo was acting rather stupid, like how he did in "Phone Home" when he made the poor guy in the suit suffer bruises.

I disliked the premise of this episode that "be yorself", but how can you be yourself? I mean I can't because I don't even know my own personality and i am preety sure no one else is themselves. I always hate it when shows say "be yourself", i don't even know what that means. So are they saying if you are a failure you still fail? And if you are fat you stay fat? Or if you are merciless, you stay merciless? There is no meaning to "Be Yourself".

The humor in the episode was quite well done despite the unoriginal plot.

Overall, quite a sad episode which could have done better.
  • Take it with a grain of salt, and be who you really are.

This episode may not be the best of the bunch in the bananas world of Foster\'s but we do learn a valuable lesson here.

Because Bloo beats Mac\'s high score in a Space Invaders-type game, he runs down to tell Mac and rub it in his face...only to see him doing extra schoolwork, not knowing that Mac spit-wadded another kid, and earned no recess for that day, but detention.

Bloo concludes (or so it seems) that the shy, bright child who created him is a nerd. Eduardo thinks that\'s \"estupido\" (Spanish for stupid), and then asks Mac to be cooler, circa 1987 to be exact. Well, after being laughed at, Mac goes back to his normal self and denounces it, which is overheard by Jamez With A \"Z\", who just happens to be the coolest kid in school, and invites him down to \"The Rock\" at 3 PM the next day...the time he always visits Foster\'s.

With Mac\'s absence, Blooregard is put up for adoption by Mr. Herriman, and an mad chase (complete with a spoof of a line from \"The Blues Brothers\" movie, announcing that he has 106 blocks to Mac, half a mind, a full bladder (from drinking too much juice), that it\'s Tuesday and he is wearing sunglasses as well as the opening montage from \"Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery\") right to \"The Rock\", ending up in a nerdy disguise. All in all, a good episode for this series.
  • to think i waited for this.

This had a good first act but it lost the 7 points with all the stupid humor and dumb kids at mac's school. this introduced james whitazee Your average shallow popular kid (a cleshay if you ask me). the ending was just stupid. after mac made that speech all those shallow idiots still call him a nerd. this episode sucked pretty much

PS look at the high scores and read stinky the bad videogames guy's highscore was. thats right that was a lame joke too.
  • The worst episode!

I hated this episode. It totally sucked @$$! It was painful to watch, like my classification says. I like FHFIF, but this episode just sucked! This along with Sweet Stench of Success, Imposter's Home for etc., and Room with a Feud needs to get taken out of the series! Then it will be perfect.
  • Worst episode I\'ve seen so far!

    "Abysmal"
This is the worst episode I have seen so far. I like FHFIF, but so far, this episode stunk. I mean, nothing really happened. Bloo tried to make Mac cool, but instead, made him even mor e of a nerd. Bloo shouldn\'t have bothered Mac. Nothing really happened except Mac AND bloo got made fun of. I saw it for the very first time yesterday, and....... I can\'t say I really liked it. I hope the newer episodes are alot funnier than this.

I must say that DOWs (Duchess Of Wails ) was pretty funny, but funnier that this episode.
  • Not worth your time.

"Bye Bye Nerdy" is another disgrace to Foster's, even worser than "Where There's A Wilt, There's A Way/ Everyone Knows It's Bendy".

The episode begans when Bloo, after achieving a new high score, decided to tell Mac of his new claim, but upon seeing him in school, he fears his friend is a nerd. So the blob decided to change Mac's image into a real cool dude, which soon gains the attention of James Withazee, a so-called "cool" kid, who invites him to the rock. But this results in Bloo being put up in adoption, and now, he tries to find a way to get back Mac.

The episode hit a new level of low; the cast were entirely out of character, the plot was just mess up, no humor at all, and most of all, the ending was not satisfying at all.

Again, another officially non-canonical episode of the show.
  • Not such a good episode, a fine episode.

Bye Bye Nerdy is an episode that nothing really happens there. It has a story, but not a story that makes the plot movev and doesn't have anything exciting. I can say that the idea of this episode isn't very good, though it is written VERY good and it is very fuuny.

Actually I found a bunch of funny scenes, and I thought they were brilliant. And that's why this episode isn't boring. Actually when you watch it you don't think about how boring the story is, thanks for the jokes.

What happens in this episode is that Bloo thinks that Mac is a nerd and tries to help him in order to make him "cool". Bloo's actions were very funny when he found out that Mac studys in the school breaks.
  • This story seemed funny, but there is a lot of filler.

Sometimes this episode seemed to drag with the running gags that they put in there. Perhaps this could've been part of a two story half hour episode. It doesn't really matter though, because this story itself isn't all that good to begin with. A question that was asked and answered in the end could've easily been in the beginning, preventing unnessesary grief.

There are many people at Mac's school that act very strangely. I'm not sure where these ideas came from, but they are so weird. Sure maybe it was a little funny the first time but enough is enough.
  • Not good nor bad just somewhere in-between

    "Great"
I love the show due to most of the time

The interaction between real friend Mac & fake friend Bloo

Bloo makes fun of Mac for being a nerd

Then Mac tries to get cool by the help of an already cool guy at school

But it backfires thanks to snotty friends

However when Mac doesn't show up to see Bloo

Bloo frets that he will be put up for adoption

He sneaks away as he dresses up as a nerd himself

That was the only positive thing about this episode!
  • One of my favorites.......a great and funny episode!

I feel sorry for Mac and Bloo. I really don't like the kids teasing them and laughing at them. I like the part when Mac was dancing like yeah. This episode is kind of funny. I hate Jamez Withezy!! I think it was funny when Bloo was trying to tell Wilt, Eduardo, Coco, and Frankie, what had happened to Mac. Bloo always pissed them off when he tried to tell them the NERD thing,(which is not necessesary for them to know and is not even true!) A great and funny episode! Funny actually...
  • Quite possibly the funniest episode

After watching this episode I was out. It was so funny. Especially when Bloo was copying from old Kung Fu movies:"You have disgraced my people we shall engage in combat"(while mouth didnt match mouth flaps). Funny.... And Jamez Withazee was funny to. I hope he comes back in another episode.
  • More better to be your self than to be cool or something. A great and really funny episode Foster's!

    "Superb"
In the start of this episode is really funny but near the end the peoples made me mad but it is ok. I like the part when Bloo saw Mac at the school doing his assignment and he shouted. I also like the part when Mac doing the things that Bloo was taught him to do at school. The best sounds of this episode I like too. I just hate the part when the peoples laughed at Bloo because he is a nerd but that's not true and Mac saw him crying, he was so embarrased and sad. But this episode is superb and I laughed all the time exept at the end.
  • way better than World Wide Wabbit!

I so love it,not because its new i just like it for some reason. it is in my top 100 favourite episode.but i do feel sorry for mac not because Bloo called mac "nerdy" bekaus Bloo beat macs hi-score he could have been the world champ! ya know bloo is alwaws in the way of something!
  • This episode wasn't very good to watch at all.

    "Terrible"
When I first heard about the episode,I thought it was gonna rock, but when it aired here down in the U.S.,I thought it sucked.I felt so sorry that Mac and Bloo got laughed at.I wanna kick Jamez Withazee's butt for all that pain!He needs to be tought a lesson! So in conclussion, this is a poor episode made for FHFIF.
  • A bad episode with Mac and Bloo teased. Sadness. Sadness. Sadness.

    2.7
    "Terrible"
This ep sucked. Not because of teh storyline because of the ending. Mac went through a good speech about accepting people for who they are, then the kids don't care and laugh. I hate them and wish I could squash them all, including that jerk, Jamez Stupidazee. I wish they would shut thier blimin mouths and turn nice. No-one in his school respected Mac, and laughed when he got bashed in the face by a bully. I alos think Mac is kinda unfair saying it was lal Bloo's fault, when he got laughed at too and even cried. Poor little thing.

There were only a few funny parts in this: Like reading those high scores on the game, and when Bloo's interrigating Mac. But it doesn't make it good. If there was nayone who rated this above 3, well, they must simply ahte poor Mac and Bloo.

    Bad episode.
  • I loved it.
