This episode is one of the funniest episodes of foster's yet because of all the funny lines and funny stuff so I think it is the funniest episode yet and possibly ever on Fosters I mean like how all that unlucky stuff happend that made it so funny and they came closer as friends because of this episode or I think that anyway and if you think about it you might think the same thing. So I think this was way funny and even the best yet.

Mac and the foster`s gang go camping. The camping trip turns haywire and all of the characters go crazy especially Mr.Herriman.He calls the rabbits "saveges"(I don`t know if spelling is correct)The running gag in most of the episoide is when Bloo eats all the food and makes everybody starve to death.Another running gag is when Bloo does the rain dance to bring more water for the characters to drink. In the fishing scene Mac tells Bloo not to get distracted and Bloo gets distracted which is really funny especialy when Bloo says he never been bored in his life.I like the credits when Mr.Herriman befriends the rabbits in a folk song.Once again a review from BATTLESTAR94!
  • Mr. Herriman's naked!

    9.0
    "Superb"
This is one of the best episodes of Foster's Home. The only thing I don't like (and never will) is Bloo. He had to eat everything, I think the Imaginary characters should've ate Bloo because of it. Then Mr. Herriman returns to his primal instincts by removing his tux that he usually wears and makes noises that has the others think that there's a monster. Then there's the gag where Wilt is sinking in the quicksand very slowly. And since this all happened in the Foster's House backyard, they should have asked Frankie to get more food or at least a can opener.

so in the begining of the episode it shows bloo and mac asking Herimun if they can go camping. He of coarse says no. But Madame foster thinks it's a great idea. So mr.herimun has to agree on madame foster, so they go camping. On the begining ofthe trip bloo eats everything. once they get to the campsite they try to pitch up the tent. But Herimun keeps on saying that it's off by a quarter of an inch and stuff. So now tey got the tent up they get down to eat. But bloo ate everything, so they send out mr.erimun. These wild bunnies find him liying down so they take him. Madame foster is talking with animals. Wilt is stuck in quick sand. Eduardo got trapped in a trap. Coco was fishing but this big fish got the line, so she's like jet skiing. And once all the comotion is over, Frankkie goes into the backyard of Foster's and tells Mr.herimun theres a phone call for him. Which means the whole tme they were in the backyard of Foster's. Ya this episode was pretty good.

  • Tim McKeon's first work of genius IMO!

    8.9
    "Great"
Tim McKeon's second episode of writing so far. Anyway, unlike Bye Bye Nerdy, this episode was awesome.

I simply liked how Mr. Herriman was potrayed in this episode. His scenes with the tearing down of the tent was preety silly. And also, I somehow found it either disturbing or strange to see him naked. His rabbit instinct was quite funny. Frankie's part in this episode was minor but I am sure she had fun while Herriman was out. I also liked Madam Foster's love for nature. However, I did feel Bloo was too jerky and lazy in this episode. He actually costs evrybody's life. He ate the food and forced Coco to fish alone. I also did not like it when Wilt farted. I just felt that it was bad for him.

Nevertheless, this episode was great in many ways.
  • Great episode

Camp Keep A Good Mac Down: Bloo and Mac ask Mr. Herriman to go camping. Mr Herriman doesn't want to but Madame Foster to. So they go. Frankie is happy because Herriman is away. Wilt gets stuck in the quicksand when he gets food for Bloo. Mr. Herriman gets lost in the woods but teams up with two little rabbits and that's where Mr. Herriman becomes a true rabbit!
  • Personally, I don’t understand why everyone’s so against this episode.

    8.9
    "Great"
I mean, it wasn’t the best one, I’ll give you that, and Bloo was a completely, selfish jerk but so what? It was still funny, with a common running gag of Bloo eating everything or finding food from somewhere and using it for something else. (Like using the honey for his ‘beard’ or eating all the berries to make sure they weren’t poisonous.)

The interaction between Mr. Herriman and the rabbits was also humorous to watch, first when he calls them “savages” and especially at the end after he says goodbye. The end was also great seeing where they were actually located and included over-the-top scenes like the one with Madame Foster and the bear.

Overall, the concept was great and the writing and plot were better. This was probably the best cartoon camping episode of any show I’ve seen thus far.

Mac asks everybody to go camping to get rid of

The everyday life at Fosters in order to just experience

Something new for a change as Frankie loves it that she

isn't at all under Mr Harriman's watch at all for a

Few days and it shows a different side of Harriman and

As usual and always, Bloo is mischievious and Eduardo, despite being big, purple, and scary, is very sweet and kind

    Think he becomes a vegetarian!

In the actual show the fosters Bloo has been seen as a selfish obnoxious jerk but this episode goes really far with his attidude. he steals all the teams food, he finds food and then hordes it for him self and is a real brat about it getting angry at his punishments. i would have killed him if i was mac. i wish the series Bloo was the same as in the movie. He wasiall kind and not and not wanting to be a burden i.e when Dutchess tells bloo about how he stopped her from being adopted

Bloo: "oh that was you, i'm so sorry i didnt mean to" and he mean it too.
  • Whoever liked this episode IMO is dumber than Sheen (from Jimmy Neutron in case you don't know) any no one's dumber than Sheen.

The minute Bloo ate the food, I just wanted to kill him! That's right. With each new episodisode that's very bad, it adds to my list of bad episodes, and it's another reason to continue my quest to crossover um, you know the rest.

Anyway, I hate Bloo this time. He was selfish. In fact, he almost cost everyone his life. After that, it was confirmed. I shall not rest until Danny Phantom crosses with Foster's. And I'll rip off heads if anyone stops me. So leave me ALONE!!!! I would've given it a zero if it hadn't had funny parts. If it wasn't for Bloo, this episode could've been a lot better.
  • This is the best camping episode of any show I've ever seen.

Another great episode of Fosters Home For Imaginary Friends. Many good jokes throught the episode and more Bloo to go around. Bloo's raindance, beard, and ferocious hunger was very funny. Eventually, nobody really wanted to go camping after that experience, especially how everything went wrong, but was good for those watching it.
  • The most decent episode in Season 3 so far.

    9.5
    "Superb"
    It was great.

I loved it when Wilt kept sinking in the sand and it took all day for him to sink to the bottom. And Bloo was funny when he tried to get a beard made of honey and pine needles. The first decent ep in Season 3 it rocked and was really well-written. Also, Coco water-skiing was too awesome! I love this ep so much.
  • A hiking we will go...

Really good fun this ep. The development of Bloo's character was excellent. Mr. Herriman was funny too. The story is reaaly good with no twists or turns in the plot.

Every character is developed. One of the best season 3 episodes at the moment. I hope is still gets better and better.
  • Very well written and a hilarious piece of work.

    "Perfect"
I found this episode very, I don't know, adventurous I guess. Having the gang go camping. But I think it was a GREAT idea. I always wanted to see the gang go on some trip or something since the first season. And boy did I get what I wanted. This episode was a RIOT! Absolutely hilarious. Chock full of laughs. Many people think that Bloo was too jerky and was overboard for it. I think the exact opposite,. He wasn't jerky at all. And he was very 'laid back' like in season 1. The writers must be seeing what we have to say and are taking it into consideration.

Many people complained that he ate all the food and got Wilt trapped in quicksand. I say so what? At least he wasn't a complete a-hole about it like in the second season. He's been MUCH MUCH worse. May I mention Squeakerbox for example?

I guess it depends on your views of jerkyness. Other wise this is a great episode that I would recommend to any fan.
  • An episode worth watching.

    8.2
    "Great"
This is an okay episode. What I like about this episode is that everyone was trying to survive after Bloo ate all the food supplied for camp. Eduardo and Mac go hunting for food. Meanwhile, Bloo and Coco go fishing. The funny parts are Mr. Herriman meddling with the rabbits and the gang being chased by a beast, which turns to be Mr. Herriman. The song during the credits sound as if they were taken from a familiar children's song. It sounds annoying but okay. Overall, a fine episode.
  • Not the best, yet not the worst...

    7.5
    "Good"
CKAGMD was a decent episode in which the Foster's gang travel to 'The Great Outdoors' and encounter many trials and challenges.

While Blooregard was a bit of a spoiled good-for nothing little blob, this episode did succeed in causing me to laugh, which is one of the great things about this show.

Thus, while the storyline wasn't my favorite, it did contain some good jokes, some crude and mean, yet most were the type that foster's is known for.

What disappoints me most is that a setting and envoironment such as this begs for a brilliant episode, yet the fun is spoiled by Bloo's selfishness...
  • Did this one strike anyone else as disturbing? I thought it was disturbing.

    8.0
    "Great"
I thought it was very disturbing, especially with Herriman & Madame Foster going wild. Then of course there's Eduardo telling Mac he's going to get eaten by some kind of wild monster. And Bloo was just as annoying and selfish as ever. I felt bad for Wilt and Coco because of the quicksand and the fishing incident.
  • Mac, Bloo, Wilt coco, edurdo, Madame foster and Mr. H go out on a camping trip, but as soon as they go into the woods things start to go badly for them. Bloo eats all of their food, wilt gets stuck in quicksand, Herriman is lost in the woods

    6.5
    "Fair"
alot of funny parts in this episode, like when bloo was preforming the rain dance and drums were playing in the background, how bloo tricked coco into fishing for him and she got carried away by a giant fish, how bloo seemed oblivious to the fact that he was not supposed to eat all of the food.
  • Lost, Foster's Style

    7.7
    "Good"
We've seen some of this in other cartoons. Mme. Foster and Mr. Herriman both going back to nature (remember SpongeBob SquarePants communing with jellyfish?), and Bloo eating all the food with nothing else left but the wilderness and all of that, along with some other stuff.

Tim McKean could have used something more, dare I say it, original here. I'll just let him slide on this one as I guess this was his first story for Foster's. Wilt's being stuck in the quicksand though for the whole episode was the best part of it. Unfortunately, so was the rest of the plot.
  • A very decent episode. Now one of my favorites

    9.8
    "Superb"
"Camp Keep A Good Mac Down" is perhaps now one of my top-3 favorite episodes of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.

This episode, which was the 3rd episode of Season 3, was about Mac, Bloo, Herriman, Madame Foster, and the three main imaginary friends going on a campfire in the woods for the weekend. Bloo, unfortuneatly, ate all the food and water they had with them, which left everyone else starve for the weekend.

So anyway this is now one of my 3 favorite episodes so far in the series. Keep up the good work, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.
  • Camping Adventure

    9.2
    "Superb"
This episode was one of the best yet. I liked Bloo's rain dance and the funny pick them off one by one plot line. I also liked Mr. Herriman resorting back to his primal state with the bunny rabbits. This is probably my second favorite episode of the season. I give this episode a 9.2/10.
  • Really well-written

    10
    "Perfect"
I thought this was a really good episode and it had some pretty good scenes.Like how they all ended up starving and it just shows you how selfish bloo can be, like does he ever not think about himself? but he's adorable. lol anyways i liked how even when wilt was sinking in quick sand he kept saying,"no you guys,i dont that want you to strain yourselves" the exact opposite of bloo!.It was really funny and I liked how the whole scenes turned out, funny how mr. herrimen was just a couple of feet away from camp and he started freaking out and getting scared.Anyways an episode you'll enjoy and laugh out loud!
  • Camp Keep A Good Mac Down (WARNING: CONTAINS SPOILERS!!!)

    9.4
    "Superb"
I loved this episode. I especially liked it when Mac finally made the fire and Bloo's rain-dance made it rain. Herriman talking to the bunnies by twitching his nose was pretty funny, too. The credits were a bad choice, though. That freaky song with Herriman? They've gone absolutely positively CRAZY.
  • While it was amusing enough for me to keep watching, it was a bit boring and I felt there were too many things going on at once, and ultimately at the end of the show I felt like nothing had really happened.

    6.3
    "Fair"
Camp Keep a Good Mac Down is an okay episode, and mildly amusing, but I wouldn't watch this one again. The plot is fairly simple, they go camping, and Bloo keeps thwarting their attempts to eat and drink. In fact, the episode seems to lose some of it's charm simply because of how amazingly rude Bloo behaves throughout the entire episode, much more so than usual. In addition to Bloo's greed, various misfortunes fall upon the characters. The problem here is that everyone is having trouble, and with so many people you start to feel dizzy wondering how each one is going to escape from their predicament. Throughout the entire thing Bloo behaves in an annoying attitude that isn't very funny at all. Finally, the episode slaps together an extremely quick conclusion that feels like it didn't get any attention at all, leaving you staring at the credits with a a feeling of dissatisfaction and a sour taste in your mouth. All in all, it feels like the episode was sloppily written and didn't get much attention at all.
  • While not perfect, I certainly had a blast watching this great, bizarre outdoors episode. I strongly recommend this, although you could have a few nightmares watching this one.

    9.7
    "Superb"
"Camp Keep a Good Mac Down" takes place mostly ouside of the mansion, which you don't see too often. Most of the main Foster's crew, except for Frankie, chose to go out on a wilderness, and camp out for a few days. In this episode, Bloo was, for the most part, a pain in the neck (or in other words, very selfish, and very self-centered...duh). He ate all of the food the gang packed, which left others literally starving. I loved the rain dance he did throughout parts of the episode.

Wilt, on the other hand, spent a great deal of time in the quicksand. Mac and Eduardo, every once in a while, try to get him out of there, but Wilt kept assuring them that everything was fine. And, was I seeing things, or did Wilt actually fart, while being in the quicksand? That's....not like him. I enjoyed the scene, during the middle of the episode, with Mac and Ed.

The final third of the episode was the episode's strongest point. Mac, Bloo, and the others (well, except Wilt. He couldn't escape.) were chased by something creepy. It was Mr. Herriman, and he had no clothes. He looked and acted more like a primitive bunny, instead of the proper English-speaking fellow with proper manners. Also, Madame Foster.....my eyes, my eyes......what happened to her? It all ended when the gang headed back to Foster's, saying that they would never do this again. I absolutely loved the ending, with Herriman communicating to the ordinary rabbits in 'rabbit speak.' Herriman told the other rabbits that they were most certainly not welcomed to Foster's, and the rabbits had stolen Herriman's wallet.

I loved every moment of this episode, and I'm wondering if I'm weird for loving this bizarre episode. Apparently, there were quite a bit of negative reactions to this episode, many pointing out Bloo's self-centered attitude. Well, duh, Bloo is just being Bloo. It's not the first time we've seen him act like that, and it's not gonna be the last either. I say, sit back, relax, and enjoy the show.
