  • Dinner Is Swerved is probably my current number-one favorite episode of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.

I don't think I've laughed so hard while watching a children's cartoon. I LOVE THIS EPISODE!

Bloo and Mac get lost in the mansion after going all the way up to the roof just so Bloo could show Mac that the corner of his apartment could be seen from up there. Bloo's late for dinner, Mac's late to get back home. Bloo goes crazy from hunger. Hilarity ensues. No matter how many times I watch this episode it still remains funny and is a complete joy to watch, even if I have memorized the really funny parts from watching them over and over again. You can never get tired of Foster's and the episodes you consider to be the best. It's a natural winner!
  • The episode was well written to make people laugh. Well the story line was short, cause Bloo and Mac was lost and that was it. But still the episode didn't disapoint.

Well i give Coocoo my best vote in this episode. She was just so funny! She had to eat everything; she even ate the T-Shirt from Eduardo.

The other thing was the way Foster's has been lined up. It's so entertaining to watch and you will always get a laugh. Like when the search team to find Bloo and Mac lay down and everyone was saying CoocooCoocoo.

Then there came the imaginary food friend. It was a really nice way to bring it. I mean an obese kid making the imaginary food friend was briliant. So this was a very short story line made entertaining very nicely.
  • LOL FUNNY EPISODE!

  • Bloo and Mac get lost in the home while trying to get to the ground floor. Since Bloo isn't present, Mr. Herriman refuses any other imaginary friends to eat until Bloo shows up. After awhile, he sends Wilt, Coco, and Eduardo to find Bloo and Mac.

This episode is one of the main reasons I like this show so much. Out of the five I have watched from the DVD so far, this by far had me laughing the most and hitting the rewind button more than ever.

I think it really comes down to the character of Bloo in so many different aspects. The two prime ones are voice and animation. The voice actor, while first coming off as an annoying voice, really nails the different situations. A good example in this episode was when he was explaining the use of the clothes to Mac; the simple "I love you" at the end is hilarious. Then, on top of it, the animators make Bloos', and other characters', movements so spot on for humor. To go along with the speech mention before, the way Bloo moves and shifts his eyes when talking, while subtle, just adds even more to the hilarity.

A very, very good episode, I would recommend this one to people new to the show without hesitation. I even go out of my way to show people the section right near the middle where Bloo and Mac are on the roof talking about the pizza man. "No sheets."
  • It's dinner time, and Mac and Bloo are lost in the house. Will they be able to find their way to the dining room?

    9.7
    "Superb"
This was a really funny episode. I think it's funny that Bloo dragged Mac to the top of the house just to show him the view of his apartment. I also thought Bloo's plan of finding their way back downstairs was funny. Leaving behind a trail of dirty laundry? Ha! That's both funny and wrong. The part where Bloo and Mac were talking to Duchess was funny too. I laughed when Mac and Bloo came back to her room to steal her sheets as a means of diving out the window. It was funny to see them dive out the window, but when the camera zoomed out, it showed that they only dived 1/5 the distance to the ground.
  • My summary and review of the episode - Dinner Is Swerved

    9.5
    "Superb"
Bloo and Mac are on the roof looking at the view, and start to go down for dinner, and realize that they are lost and can’t find their way inside the house. Meanwhile, everyone is waiting at the dinner table for Bloo to arrive so that they can start eating. Mr. Herriman insists that they wait for Bloo before they start, and Madame Foster thinks of a way where they can eat and Mr. Herriman wouldn’t have to know about it.

This was a good episode that had its moments. The scene where Bloo faces Duchess is hilarious. I also loved the part when Frankie distracts Mr. Herriman by tickling and poking him. And let’s not forget the chicken guy who tries to stay away from Eduardo, Coco and Wilt. It was just so funny watching a chicken save his live from hungry imaginary friends. This is definitely one of the better episodes of Foster’s Home.
  • Like my Classification of the episode Busted, this episode is well above ageverage, though not as funny as Busted, because it really just showed us how large Foster's home really is.

I liked this episode; it was usually funny. Sometimes you just need to be in the right mood for some of the jokes in this episode. Getting lost on the way down to dinner or the front door is understandable in a house of that size.

Most of the comedy in this episode seems to be the conflicting personalities. Again we have Frankie and Mr. Herriman fighting. This time it is about whether or not everybody should be able to eat dinner without Bloo (since he's lost in the house). The other part with conflicting personalities is between Bloo and Duchess. Whereby Bloo asks for help and Duchess is a jerk. But a funny jerk.

This was a funny episode, but it wasn't funny the whole way through. Again, it doesn't matter. This is only the beginning.
  • they got lost in the house and couldn't find their way down!

Bloo was showing Mac that he could see his house from the roof (something everyone at Foster's was aware of because Mr. Herriman mentioned it down at the dinner table). It was supper time and they were trying to find their way downstairs, which they couldn't find...

Eventually they end up in Duchess' room and she opens a trap door making them fall but, surprisingly, they appear on the roof! They also go all they way to the laundry room ,which they have been too numerous times and still couldn't find their way down.

My favorite part was when Bloo and Mac decided to jump out of the window and land in a mattress they had thrown outside.
  • Mac wasn't mean as Bloo deserves his just desserts!

First of all, whoever said that Mac was mean to Bloo is wrong

    No offense taken whatsoever

Because Bloo is more meaner compared to Mac

As Mac has the right to get mad at Bloo

Bloo has caused so much trouble

At Fosters and with Mac to be honest with you all

    That is sometimes unrepairable

If you know what I mean

At least Bloo got to eat

Sadly though the others had to wait for him

In order for him to come eat with them!
  • Bloo..wants...food...NOW!

I thought this episode was very funny. Bloo and his hunger cracked me up and when he thought that the Mac was chicken and it turned out to be a imaginary friend, it was both funny and unexpected. I liked the attitude of Bloo when he is hungry. Let's face it, he goes insane. What the funny part was is that Bloo ordered Pizza upstairs and he couldn't get down stairs to retrieve the pizza!

Another funny part was when Mac and Bloo jumped out the window. Equardo, Coco and the red guy (name?) thought they were commiting suicide.

This was a very enjoyably funny episode.

Though there are many things stopping me to love this but still a great ep.Various parts were funny such as Bloo going crazy with hunger and how no matter what they keep getting back on the roof.Though the bad things are that Mac spiteful towards Bloo by trying to show him he has no idea to get down stairs. So if you don't like this I can see why.
  • I thought Mac was mean to Bloo.

Mac just couldn't stop nagging Bloo is this episode.

This episode had some humour and a good storyline but I thought Mac was thinking of Bloo as an idiot. He said various things to him, that in my opinion were not nice.

Bloo: Why you going home so early? Cause your mummy wants you home?

Mac: No, so I can get a better veiw from my roof corner. (because he's saying Bloo's stupid for liking seeing Mac's roof corner. Sheesh Mac!)

Mac: Now watch as I open this door and see my success as you Bloo, have failed! (points in his face and glares as if to say it's his fault)

Mac: Hey, you're right! You are CRAZY!

    Bloo: Hungry! Bloo hungry!

Mac: Bloo stupid! You ruined everything! (It wasn't his fault! He couldn't help himself!)

Plus load sof times Mac keeps yelling at him.

Seriously Mac. Can't you at least be a little nicer? It wasn't Bloo's fault they got stuck upstairs. And just because thought he did it doesn't mena eh has to say he's failed and he's better. And he came up with that good plan. Even thugh it failed, it could have worked. The only thing he ever did was chase the chicken away. But it was his hunger, not himself.

And why does Mac think Bloo is stupid just because he likes views? Different people have different opinions! If Mac didn't like it, just SAY! Not bite Bloo's head off.

I give this 5.7 rating. It would of been about 8 if Mac would of been friendlier instead of a mean nag.

  • A funny to watch episode.

In this episode Mac and Bloo are on the roof of Foster's Home because Bloo in fasinated that you can the corner of Mac's appartment form where there standing. Mac isn't that inpressed by Bloo's attempt though. Mc and Bloo must get down to the dinner room to eat. MR. Herriman will not let any of the friends eat until Bloo and Mac get down but Madame Foster slips some food to the friends sitting at the table while Mr. Herriman does not see her. Mac and Bloo try to reach the bottom floor but they are in trouble because every way they go they end back up at the roof somehow. Ed, Wilt, and Coco are sent to look for Mac and Bloo by MR. Herriman. Mac and Bloo do find a chicken wing friend and try to follow him down but Bloo is very hungry and can't resist himself from trying to eat it which results in a wild hase and ends them back up on the roof. They jump off and arrive at the front door so Mac goes home and Bloo goes in to eat, but he can't because to wait for Wilt, Ed, and Coco to find their way down.
  • Another milestone.

One thing I will say is that you gotta love Foster's. This is a great episode that shows why this series is so popular. It's a pretty good Frankie episode too (what can I say? I'm nuts about the girl lol :D) Plus my favourite Foster's line comes into play in this episode. The 'I sowwy Mr. Hewwiman. I've been a bad girl. Also I should mention another thing in this episode that won me over. Yes, it's Bloo's guitar solo. It rocked. This episode cracked me up every second. Don't take my word for how aweseome it is. WATCH IT!
