I didn't care for this episode too much. With the exception of Bloo in the classroom at the beginning of the episode, it just wasn't funny. And it was kind of humiliating to the characters whom I adore. It might be insulting to the real Abe Lincoln too, since they didn't even change his name. The song and seeing everyone dance to it was just kind of...eh...for lack of a better term, uncomforting. It was just weird. And I actually like musicals, so that's not a biased statement. I have to admit it's always fun watching the animation and listening to the voices and SFX, and trying to catch something new I had never noticed before.
Well Mac sees that his teacher throws a talking imaginary friend pencil into a closet. He and Bloo rescue the pencil and his lackey, not knowing that he's evil. So slowly the pencil takes over with the unsuspecting Madame Foster's help. Soon Fosters has sold all its friends. By the time Frankie, Mr.Heriman, and Mac figure out, they get locked in a closet by the pencil's lackey. Then Bloo comes and unlocks the closet to get batteries. But then gets then pen and trades him for batteries dooming them all. In the end, Madame Foster comes to the rescue and apprehends the pencil. It was a pretty good episode alltogether.
When a student steals like a pen made in the shape
Of Abraham Lincoln, Mac & Bloo save the pen
But when that "pen" becomes huge trouble for everybody, it is up to Bloo & Mac to turn everybody back into their old selves and that they also have to help Madam Foster from losing the home. Not my fave but still, love the characters.
For me, this was the worst episode in Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends history. Usually, Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends is a really funny show, but this one was not funny at all except for Bloo playing the little game. The song was really weird and the credits weren't that good. Do not get me wrong, I still like the series, but this particular episode was poorly written. Abraham Lincoln and his pal were really stupid and their evil scheme might have worked, but he's just an imaginary pen for crying out loud! I'm sorry, but this episode receives a 3.8 from me.
