  • What did Mac do to deserve this?

    3.0
    "Bad"
Foster's has had its share of bad episodes, and this is one of them. Now granted this episode is nowhere near as bad as Imposter's Home, but this is still bad. The plot is that it's Mac's birthday, but unlike so many kids who look forward to it Mac is in constant fear because of Bloo. Bloo always humiliates Mac in front of his friends and family on his birthday by throwing a surprise party, and Mac hates them. Mac soon learns that everyone at Foster's is in on the surprise party, and does everything he can to stop it like ruining the cake, and destroying the party favors. Why doesn't he just leave Foster's and celebrates his birthday with his family instead? However Mac soon discovers there is another party set, and ready to go. Mac goes to the party, and destroys it completely. It all turns out to be a mistake though, for it's the birthday of another friends named Artie. After being chewed out by everyone, Mac decides to make it up by creating another surprise party for Artie. Mac even dresses up like a clown to help celebrate Artie's birthday. After doing all his clowning, Artie reveals himself to be Madame Foster, and it is a party for Mac to be humiliated at. Why did Mac need to be humiliated again at his birthday, and at Foster's? After everything he did to help the place out, and all his kindness he has given to the friends here he got rewarded with this? What did Mac ever do to deserve this anyway? Birthdays are supposed to be fun, and celebrating them with friends, and family not pulling pranks and humiliating the birthday boy or girl. It also makes me sick as to how the entire house followed Bloo, and thought this would be funny. Why did they stoop so low to Bloo's level. Everyone was a jerk in this episode to Mac, and an idiot. There were a couple of funny moments in this episode that made it bearable, but that's not saying much though. If I were Mac every birthday I would not go to Foster's, and spend my birthday with friends and family who won't throw surprise parties, and humiliate me. I'm surprised that Mac didn't yell at Bloo, and make him and everyone else fell guilty for all the stuff he did for Foster's, and then leave the place for the day. By far this is one of Foster's meanest episodes, and aside from a couple of funny moments in this one it's not enough to make me watch this episode, but at least it isn't as bad as Imposter's Home. If you haven't seen this episode yet, then don't worry you aren't missing anything at all.
  • Painful to watch.

To me, Foster's is one of the best shows ever. And then they made this episode. Foster's hardly makes bad episodes, and this one makes all the bad episodes look good.

Mac is my #1 favorite character. He's so cute and sweet that I always wanna pick him up and hug him whenever he's upset. This was one of those episodes. I can see why the little guy didn't want a surprise party. He's always humiliated by them. Everyone was acting like a huge jerk to Mac in this episode. Even Frankie and Wilt (my other two faves, they're so sweet!). This is the episode that made me hate Bloo.
  • Worst Episode Ever.

This episode was like a huge middle finger to the audiance, they took everything we've known sice the show started and just threw it out the window. First of all, howcome everyone was so mean to Mac in this episode, although I could say Bloo tricked them but aren't they smarter than that? Second since when is Bloo smart? He's been an idiot since the second half of season one, and now he's some evil genius? Third, this ruined a perfect streak of great episodes, its up there with "Imposters Home for Make 'em up Pals" as a good nomination for the worst episode of a really great show. What was Craig thinking greenlighting this episode?
  • Bloo and the gang are throwing Mac a surprise party. The problem: he refuse to have one at all.

    5.0
    "Mediocre"
"I Only Have A Surprised For You" is perhaps the worst episode I have ever watch. Not only that, but this episode breaks the streak of very good episodes the first previous five have just before this one.

It is Mac's birthday, and Bloo, along with everyone at Foster's, are preparing their friend a surprise party. However, unlike most kids in his age, he refuse to have one; the reason: he finds it very embarrasing whenever Bloo throws him at the wrong time. Upon learning this, he goes AWOL and attempts to stop this from happening, leading to a bitter sweet conclusion.

This episode was very disappointing, as it reverted back to the episodes that is season 3. Some of the characters weren't being their true selves and the way it was portrayed ruined it.

Overall, an episode that should be avoided.
  • It's finally Mac's brithday....or is it?

    "Great"
Not the best of the episodes, I have to say, but it was still entertaining none the less. Although, it was just that one scene about Mac's previous parties that made me laugh so hard. Everything else was just OK. But if it wasn't for Goo appearing in the episode, then I wouldn't have enjoyed it as much.
  • Mac messes up instead of Bloo!

    10
    "Perfect"
Usually Bloo is the one that messes up instead of

Mac, who is Bloo's conscience but now in this show

It is the other way around as Mac ruins his surprise party

Or is it his surprise party since he doesn't want one at all

As he really is mean and spoils everything from the presents to the cake! Ouch Mac!!
  • Bloo is such a jerk!

    5.3
    "Mediocre"
Bloo was a complete loser. Everyone was a complete moronic trash heap! But Bloo was the absolute biggest jerk ever in this episode. And everyone esle was just stupid. If it weren\'t for the humor, I probably would\'ve given this a lower score. Madame Foster was dumb, Bloo was obnixious, and Mac had absolutely every right to go COMPLETLY INSANE! I\'m still twitching. *Twich* This episode stunk on ice! I really wish that they would make the characters nicer, or at least give Mac his old voice back! His voice makes him sound old, cranky, and mean. Anyway, this episode was funny, yet mean. The characters should be nicer.
  • Horribly sad ending. This shows how much of a jerk Bloo is.

    "Mediocre"
I could not beleve how horible Mac felt after this. I could feel his pain. Bloo and everyone not only tricked him, but humiliated Mac for what? Fun? Because they like to watch people suffer? I felt compared to this, people in the torture chambers in England 500 years ago had it easy. The beggining and middle was good, but the ending was horribly cruel and sad. It\'s one of those times where you would give anything to be in that episode and make things right. You can tell how much Mac suffered, which was what made this episode\'s end horrible to watch.

I Only Have Surprise For You: Mac is almost nine years old. And Bloo and the rest of the imaginary friends are planning to throw a secret birthday party for him. Mac gets suspicious when he sees Bloo giggling. So he eavesdrop and learns that Bloo is throwing a surprise party to him.
  • The surprise will always be ruined by Bloo.

This is yet another episode review of Foster\'s Home For Imaginary Friends and this time , we see a surprise party for Mac and unfortunently , this was kinda like Mac\'s turn to turn the tables on the fans and this is what happens. We see Mac being a threat to an imaginary friend's first party and at least the ending was about to be the main cheer but turned out , this was actually a prank which Bloo made and the imaginary friend was Madame Foster in disguise and this was sadly done and made for the show to be aired and if they keep doing this , I might as well write negative reviews about this show how they wreck the character\'s personal things thanks to some of the characters who appear in the episodes of the show which I hope won't een happen again no matter if the writers think it's perfect. A 1.0 out of 10.0
  • I don't really like this episode of Foster's and it is painful to watch.

I don't really like this episode and it is painful to watch. It is just like the other bad episodes of Foster's. Mac had been embarrassed again on his birthday. Mac didn't know that the little cute imaginary friend is Madame Foster. He had been fooled. He tried to make the imaginary friend happy by being a clown. Everybody in the house planned to embarrass him on his birthday, especially Bloo. The other parts of the episode is ok but I don't like the ending. They should have make it good. Mac destroy or ruined everything for his birthday so he will not be embarrassed again but still at the end of the episode, he had been embarrassed again. That's why I don't really like this episode and it is painful to watch.
  • Mac attempts to ruin the suprise party Bloo is planning for him.

This is one of my favorite episodes ever!!! I loved the scene where Mac is telling Mr. Herriman about all the parties Bloo has planned for him and how he always manages to make Mac embarrass himself in some way. I laughed when I saw Mac in that ballerina outfit. It's funny how Bloo always throws the party when it's not Mac's birthday and how Mac thinks he's only safe on his actual birthday. I also liked the beginning scene when Mac figures out what Bloo is up to by the look on his face and the way he's acting. I thought it was funny how Mac managed to destroy both parties and then ended up throwing another one, which was actually his own party.
  • Fosters shocks us again as Mac tries to runin his supraise birthday party but plans and throws his own party after bloo "creates" another friend whos birhday it really is.

    "Perfect"
This episode is for those who like Law and rder or CSI since detective skills are really tested. Mac's past supraises are absolutley hilarious and shocking. Bloos plan was flawless and it really showed how smart those writers are. Mac's inability to figure out bloo's plan showed that maybe he isn't so smart after all. The fosters story lines get better each and every episode from no one in the picture to chesse knows the security code. The B team idea was a little off but still good none the less. I'm shure Foster's home for imaginary friends will make us laugh again and again for years to come.
  • And yet another reason why this show is going downhill.

    2.1
    "Terrible"
Yeah, I said it. Downhill. Nothing happened except for Bloo treating Mac like dirt and the whole house hating Mac for one period. I would have gone beserk if someone did that to me every year. The whole house was a pain in the arse and no-one thought it was wrong to do that. I pray that in one future episode that Bloo gets severely battered; he has gone over the line for too long. This show went from future classic to on the downhill slope. I might stop watching this show. Also, if you don't like my review don't send hate PM's because I will answer them back very, VERY harshly.
  • Been a while since Foster's has had a bad episode.

Bloo bad heart became even worse, Mac was tricked into humiliating himself, and this broke the good streak the show has recently had. I was so mad at Bloo I then watched Coco Cards on Brighthouse to see him suffer. I'm sure most of the episodes after this one will apologise for this insult to one of the 4 comedy Cartoon Network shows that are still funny. If I was there I'd get Terrence to go Mid Evil on Bloo, and then let him be put up for adoption. Heck I'd maybe even feed him to an Extremeasaurus. Die Bloo.
  • An episod ein which the friends of Foster's come to Mac's apartment to have a sleepover.

this episode is my fourth favorite i think. Ok so Bloo eduardo and wilt come to mac's apartment. Later in the night Coco and Goo come. And then finally cheese come over. My favorite part in this episode is when Bloo is going to play a trick on mac's mom. And Mac comes in and whispers something to bloo that shocks him! My other favorite part is when terence wakes up. Then Bloo pets this piece of wood and speeks this wierd language, Mac says this ia a dream your dreaming, Wilt does the worm, Eduardo pretends to be a clock, Coco and Goo ride the bicicle, and chees suckes on the straw so hard that his fas (idk) gets smaller. And the whole episode... Wilt cleans the apartment. Eduardo takes "Photographic memories" (pictures) of the who;s apartment. Bloo does random stuff. Ya this was a pretty good episode.
  • I have no clue why people didn't like this one.

Mac thinks that Bloo is planning a party for him, and he hates parties because he always gets emberassed at them so he goes "rambo" and trys to ruin it all. After ruining all of "Team A"'s plans, Team B succesfully did thier duties. After finding out that they are going to host the party in the library Mac finds out and ruins it all. Turns out it was actually "Artie"'s birthday party and not his so he trys to cheer "him" up with being a clown. In the end, Mac gets emeberassed because Artie was Madame Foster and Mac just got fooled the entire way along. I don't know why people disliked this episode, I thought it was great.
  • I find this eppie to be a little underappreciated.

    "Superb"
Although I felt bad for Mac and all that he went through, since he IS one of my two favorite characters in the show (Bloo ties with him), I think this episode is very well written. The plot was genius! What a scheme! And it shows that Bloo does have some brains afterall! I also found it really funny! Bloo's up to his usual hi-jinks, and manages to get the whole house to participate in it. It's a rarity to see the whole house team up with Bloo, and just as rare to see them do it AGAINST Mac, whom everyone likes. So that was interesting to see. Although I did feel sorry (and embarrassed) for Mac, I think it's a pretty good episode.
  • a great episode and soooo underappreciated

bloo always gets mac humiliated at surprise parties because he always caughts him at wrong moments not by accident . so this year mac is driven nuts by the fact that bloo is preparing another humiliating party and so he dresses up like rambo and tries to ruin the cake and the balloons to stop the party from happening . but the party was for artie , a four year old imaginary friend . mac has ruined his dreams and now he tries to make up for it by dressing up as a clown . but artie is madame foster in disguise and the surprise party catches mac dressed up as a clown and he's humiliatd yet again because bloo is always one step ahead of him . i just don't get it why people don't like this awesome episode .
  • I'm suprised this episode got anything above a 6 rating considering how terrible it was.

Now Foster's has infact had it's fair share of "bad apples" but this? That's just a whole new level.Poor Mac is scared that Bloo will throw him a fake suprise party, and everytime he does he humiliates him,and so he destorys a suprise party for a friend named Artie who turns out to be Madame FOster in a cheap disguise and the whole house was cashing in on Bloo's prank except for Ed and that one guy who could sew lace curtains. And then they make MAc humiliate himself by dressing up as a clown after make Mac feel like a jerk and then laugh it up in his face. You know Bloo was like Megan from Drake and Josh in this episode, plotting ahead of Mac,it just hows how FOsters is slowly losing it's edge and how big a jerk Bloo has become.Worst episode ever
  • I thought it was pretty harsh on Mac.

    6.1

I was pretty excited when I started watching this episode (hey! new Foster's! Who wouldn't?) but my heart slowly started sinking as the episode grew long. As Mac was wrecking the party decorations, presents, and cake, I had the sickening sureness that it wasn't his party. I really did feel sick when everyone was dumping on Mac for ruining the party. (Yes, I get way too emotionally attatched to fictional characters. Hey, I cried during Dumbo.) I was lightning up when Mac was dressed like a clown to make Artie, along with everyone else, laugh. I have to admit that Bloo had me completely hoodwinked at that point. Like Mac's tutu experience, I really should've seen that coming. But I didn't, and needless to say I felt like the carpet had been pulled up from under me when it turned out to be Mac's party. By that point I didn't feel sick, though, I just felt anger. Not just at Bloo for pulling Mac's strings (along with taking ten bucks from him!), but also at the usually friendly characters like Wilt and Frankie. I thought it was wildly out of character for them to manipulate Mac just to embarrass him. The sole redeeming factor was that Eduardo was totally innocent to all the scheming. If not for that little twist, my rating would have been significantly lower. To me it felt like "Foster's Home for Make'em Up Pals" again, only it was Mac instead of Frankie and Goofball turns out to be human at the end and that it was not just Bloo in cahoots with Goofball, but everyone at Foster's except Eduardo. I can only hope that there won\'t be a third "Make'em Up Pals" with another innocent soul at the unwanted reigns.
