Goof: Wilt bends the fake arm and rubs his head after the flashback of him getting hit in the head with the falling lamp. But the fake arm was just a rod with a gloved hand attached.
Goof: Bloo is seen with Mr. Herriman on the staircase between the first and second floor after Bloo took Mr. Herriman out of his office, although in many episodes such as House of Bloo's (part 2) and the online game Big Fat Awesome House Party, Mr. Herriman's office is shown to be downstairs.
Bloo: ¡CONTROLATE HOMBRE!
Bloo: I'm going to spend my time in jail with a guy named Moose, getting really buff, watching TV and eating pudding.
Bloo: (Playing an "air-guitar") Zombie Fighters! Ta-na na-na-na na-na na-na-na! Zombie Fighters!...
Bloo: (Wants to throw Mr. Herriman down the stairs) Well, he's dead anyway.
Madame Foster: (Holding Paco as a zombie) Eduardo, come and save me! I'm not a Zombie yet.
Bloo: Oh come on! Eduardo is not... (Looks and sees Eduardo isn't there then looks back where Eduardo is being chewed on by Madame Foster) Well, Eduardo is dead.
This is the second time Bloo did Mr. Herriman's voice.
We learn in this episode that Bloo speaks perfect Spanish, possibly better than Eduardo, can do well with any blade and can have incredible strength.
Running Gag: Bloo saying "Well, (character's name) is dead" when they become a zombie.
The first three trick-or-treaters are dressed as the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and the Cowardy Lion from The Wizard of Oz.
During the flashbacks, Bloo can be seen dressed as Mojo Jojo from the Powerpuff Girls, Frankie dressed as the title character from Tank Girl and Madame Foster is dressed as Yoda from Star Wars. Wilt also appears as a werewolf, which has been previously seen in "One False Movie" and "Cheese A Go-Go".
Third time Mac is seen naked, although we clearly see him in his skivvies while he was running.
Credits: Mac wakes up from his sugar rush only to find Wilt's fake arm.
The plot closely spoofs the 1968 movie Night of the Living Dead.
The Halloween costumes of the main characters:
*Blooregard: Executioner.

*Madame Foster: A witch.
*Jackie Khones: A pimp.
*Mabel Licorice: TRON.

Bloo sings his "Zombie Fighters" song from Squeeze the Day.
Title Card SFX: Scary Music.
This episode originally aired in 3-D at 7:30 PM ET/PT October 12, 2007 in the USA.
Madame Foster: (Singing to imaginary friends dressed as the Village People) My, aren't you cute!
As Madame Foster sings this, she is singing it to the biggest hit that the Village People had, their UK #1 chart topping song from 1979, Y.M.C.A. The song has had a cult following at sports events and parties as the letters were spelled out with their arms, a move started by dancers on American Bandstand on January 6 of that year. The group has since adopted those moves into the song when it is performed.
Tank Girl
In the series of flashbacks to when Bloo tricked Mac into opening the snake-in-the-Peanut-Brittle-can gag, Frankie is dressed as Tank Girl.
The Powerpuff Girls
In addition to Frankie dressing up as Blossom and Cy as Bubbles, in one of the flashbacks in this episode Bloo dressed up as Mojo Jojo, who also appeared in the series, most notably, in the pilot episode House of Bloo's.
Madame Yoda?
During one of the flashbacks in this episode, Madame Foster was dressed up as the wise sage who appeared in five out of the six Star Wars movies and the animated series Star Wars: Clone Wars, directed by McCracken's good friend (and co-hort on Dexter's Laboratory) Genndy Tartakovsky
Huckleberry Hound:
One of the Imaginary Friends was dressed up as the Hanna-Barbara character who had his own hit cartoon series in the late 1950's and the early 1960's.
Episode Title: Nightmare On Wilson Way
An obvious play off the Nightmare on Elm Street series of slasher movies. In addition, this is another reference to the address of Foster's Home in the series, 1123 Wilson Way.
