The scene wherein Wilt traveled to the future in the movie could be considered a spoof or a homage to Samurai Jack, who is also the title character voiced by the voice of Wilt, Phil LaMarr.
The school gave Mac $500 for the movie.
Part of Bloo's movie "T-Rexatron III Alien Wolfhound, A Prequel In Time: The Unrelenting" from One False Movie makes a cameo appearance on a small TV screen.
In World Wide Wabbit, the spoof of Ebay was called "Ebun." However, in this episode its called "Schembay" instead.
Wilt: (Acting) Captain, if I don't make it back here alive, tell my little boy...I love 'im.
(The class is watching Bloo's edited version of Mac's movie)
Mac: (To Eduardo) Just be yourself!
Eduardo: Okay! (Flatulence sound heard.) Hello, Mac...
(Coco and Wilt walk in)
Coco: (Flatulence sound heard; lashes teeth)
Lauren: (on the television) We're going through the forest! We're going through the forest! We're going through the forest!
Bloo: People don't care about endings! As long as everything else is awesome, you don't need an en... (Episode ends with title card reading "THE END")
Cartoon Producer: It's time to make a very special episode...Lauren?
Bloo: (When seeing "Lauren is Exploring" taped over the end of "T-Rexatron III Alien Wolfhound, A Prequel In Time: The Unrelenting") No no no! This isn't my movie! My movie makes sense! Someone taped over it! (Tomatoes being thown at him) Please! I'm allergic to tomatoes! And rejection!
Bloo: The movie is supposed to be about friendship. I like that, but what about instead of everybody being friends, we make everybody enemies?
Bloo: Now say 'She shells sea shells down by the sea shore.
Mac: She shells sea shells...
Bloo: While doing jumping jacks.
Fast Forward: 1. The scene with Wilt, Cuffy and the space alien would be viewed by Jackie Khones on the TV in "Challenge of the Super Friends." 2. The set of "Space Wars" figurines that Mac sold in this episode on SchmeBay would later pop up at the swap meet in "The Buck Swaps Here."
Cecil B. DeMille: Filmmaker
Bloo mentioned that he purchased a megaphone off of Schmebay from Cecil B. DeMille, a pioneer film director and producer.
Bloo is allergic to tomatoes.
Animation Studio: Boulder Media, Ltd.
Credits: Mac and the friends are on the couch watching "Lauren is Exploring" when Eduardo says "Excuse me". Everyone else waves their hands and says "Ewwwwwwwwwww!", and Eduardo says "It's okay, it's perfectly natural. I'm confortable with it", then Bloo faints and Eduardo says "I said 'excuse me.'"
The creator of the show "Lauren is Exploring" looks a lot like Craig McCracken, the creator of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, and is in fact voiced by Craig himself.
Frankie appears briefly but has hardly any dialogue. She just laughs at Bloo's "pooting."
If you listen carefully during the party scene, you can hear the techno music heard from the episode, Partying Is Such Sweet Soiree.
This episode marks the third appearance of Mac's Teacher, the first being "Bloo's Brothers" and the second being "Bye Bye Nerdy" However, the teacher that appears in "Bye Bye Nerdy" is different to the one in this episode and "Bloo's Brothers."
"Tom Hanks" makes a cameo. He plays an alien with a muffled voice (voiced by Keith Ferguson, who provides Bloo's voice on the show) and his face is covered by a bucket. In the movie, he falls off a cliff, into a river, and over a waterfall.
Look Hard: You'll see that Eduardo is computer animated in 3-D. The town this scene takes place also resembles Townsvile, from the show, The Powerpuff Girls. This show is another Craig McCraken masterpiece.
Running Gags: 1) Bloo's "pooting" over Eduardo's film making Eduardo embarrassed. 2) Everyone - including Mr. Herriman - laughing at the armpit pooting of Bloo. 3) Bloo asking for more money and Mac selling collectable things on Schmebay. 4) Bloo persuading Mac to let him do the movies by sarcastically acting as though he'd drop out of the production.
Title Card Sound: Old fashioned movie projector clickering away.
At the start of the show, Bloo is doing the Worm he did in Bye Bye Nerdy and Bloo's Brothers. If you'll listen, you can even hear the same music from the former episode.
Mac and Bloo recreate the flying bike scene from E.T. The Extra Terrestrial in the movie.
Imaginary Friend Debuts: Oscar, Camcordy, Cuffy.
Human Debuts: Mac's School principal.
Wilt and Coco: Tuna sandwich passing.
The way Coco passes the tuna sandwich to Wilt is similar to the scenes in The Matrix series of movies.
Song: All-Star
When Wilt and the alien that are wearing Cuffy the Handcuffs begin to dance, the song sounded similar to Smash Mouth's "All-Star".
Snowglobe: Familar?
When the snowglobe falls and shatters in the movie, it is a parody of the movie Citizen Kane.
Toys: Space Wars.
A parody of Star Wars.
Internet: Schmebay.
Another parody of eBay.
TV Show: Lauren Is Exploring.
A spoof of the popular Nick Jr. series Dora the Explorer. The series title is also an inside joke about series supervising producer Lauren Faust.
The title is a reference to the 1992 movie "One False Move".
