  • I thought that this episode was great when I first saw it. I especially liked 3D-CGI Eduardo.

The episode begins with Mac recording for his school project, and interviews his friends at Foster's. Bloo, after watching this, plans to edit it. The next day, Mac shows the video to the class, and, despite of it having fart sounds, it becomes a big hit. Eduardo, who has watched it also, is embarassed, and sends a note to the studio that produces his favorite educational show. Next, Bloo was filming Mac's short film, which Eduardo takes no part of, and he needed money to make it better. However, Eduardo, watching a fresh episode of his favorite show, records over Bloo's edited film, and it is rejected after being watched at the film festival. The episode ends with Bloo feeling rejected, saying to Mac "As long as everything else is awesome, you don't need an e--" just as "THE END" shows.

  • Nothing special, but it wasn't that bad either.

Well basically Mac needs help from Bloo to make a movie for this school contest because the principal chose him to make it. Bloo keeps needing money so Mac needs to sell stuff on "Schmebay"(or Ebay same thing) and ends up stealing Madame Foster's stuff to use. In the end Eduardo feels sad because everyone makes fun of him for farting when he didn't so he asks his favorite cartoon(a copy of Dora the Explorer) to make an episode for them. So at the end of the movie it gets replaced by the thing Eduardo recorded. Basically I thought it was an average episode as in nothing new but it was still great.
  • It is extremely clever and gives out a negative message about commercialism.

It is extremely clever and gives out a negative message about commercialism. Mac needed to come up with a film for his school's film festival and begs Bloo to help him. However, when Bloo agrees he blows it out of proprtion that leave Mac stealing Madam Foster's Possesions and selling them on Schmee-Bay, due to the deb Bloo accumulated. There are bouts of randomness and sillines that climbs the charts of hilarity for older kids as well as, young children.
  • Yet another cartoon where Bloo acts foolish and tries to get things done his way. In the end, things look good, until when Eduardo watches TV...

I found this episode very funny and it had the same Bloo we all have grown to know and love. A stubbern fool. When Mac comes over to Foster's to make a short movie about the place, Bloo has a look at it and states that it's rubbish. He promises Mac that he'll bring it to school tomorrow, edited to perfection. When he finally comes, he hands the tape over to Mac and Mac puts the Video Player on Play. After realising that Bloo just added fart sounds to the video, Mac gets angry at him. Soon this changes when the principal of the school tells Mac that the movie is great and has entered him in a film-making competiton. Now Mac needs Bloo's help to make the movie, but Bloo is insulted by Mac's reactions before. Bloo makes a deal with Mac that he will help him if the movie is done HIS way. Thus, comes the beginning of the blockbuster hit, T-Rexatron III Alien Wolfhound, A Prequel In Time: The Unrelenting. Or is it just another homemade movie that is ruined by Eduardo's Loren is Explorin'? Oh well, it stinks eitherway. The End.
  • This episode was the best episode of Foster's in history.

I just loved this episode where Mac makes a movie and the principal loves it so he makes a film for the film festival from the help of his best friend Bloo and the other guys at foster's and the Dora the Explorer parody was funny it just makes fun of Dora the explorer and i like that seeming how Dora is boring and they made the parody boring classic i loved the movie Mac and Bloo made but sadly eduardo taped over it with the Dora the Explorer parody and Mac did not win an oscar Poor Mac but this episode was great though and deserves a 10 rating(how you rate stuff on tv.com).

Mac makes a boring movie, and bloo fixes it up,with farts. Embarrased,Eduardo writes to Lauren is Exploring,an obvious spoof on Dora. Mac shows the video and is entered in a contest, and begs bloo to help him. Bloo agrees and makes an awesome movie with a computer ogre replacing Ed. Then at the big party Ed complains that he cant hear the special episode about Farts and tapes over the movie...at the contest the ending is cut out with Lauren is Exploring, and the crowd is disgusted, the episode ends with Bloo whining ''Who cares about an ending? If the other stuff is good there is no need for an en-'' and the episode ends.

This was almost as funny as Frankie My Dear and Mac Daddy. Mac is trying to make a movie for school. Bloo edits it his way and makes it a comedy film. The principal of his school loves it and wants Mac to enter the competition. Bloo and Mac make a movie. When it is finished, Eduardo accidentally records over the last half another show. When it is presented, the last half shows Lauren is Explorin'. It was really funny and was awesome. This was truely a classic.

It's so amazing when Mac filming a video about Foster's Home for his school till Bloo came in a adding something embrassing which the school staff were impressed and Bloo suddendly turns it into a blockbuster with all the imaginary friends playing their parts and Bloo wastes a lot of money for the sinces and the actors.

Until Edurado spoils the movie party by reconding Lauren over the tape.

What surpises me is that Criag McCraken playing himself in this role which I didn't know about this.

  • I'm only talking about the movie

The ep was funny as Bloo doing a can-can! Of course the beginning wasn't that good and neither the (sorta) ending, but Mac's movie was the bomb.

    Wilt was brillant in it.

The CGI'D Ed was really good.

Coco the wizard(s) were good too.

On the whole the movie was side splitting, and nice parody of Dora The Explorer there too!

When Bloo and Mac are throwing a After Party Eduardo Tapes Over the Movie and Bloo and Mac Lose

Mac later tries to tell Madame Foster He sold All of Madame Fosters stuff on shmebay But Madame Foster Interrupts him saying that she loves shmebay and Mac finds out she Bought All the stuff Mac sold online So Mac Promices to himself he will Pay Madame Foster Back for the Money

Mac is a very shy & creative sometimes a withdrawn eight-year old boy

While Bloo is outspoken and talkative

    Sometimes getting himself into trouble

But when he "accidentally" edits Mac's home movie about Fosters

It becomes a "blockbuster" hit as the principal wants Mac to represent the school

As well as the Foster's Home

In the end, it turns out to be a dud

And Bloo takes the blame because it was his fault

He did get his just desserts you know!
  • It's a great start to finish off Season three with the few episodes that are left.

Anyway this episode was definately awesome for me not to care about the ending which is mentioned. It's a shame they lost the film festival though. Anyway it starts with Mac making a movie and for school and he asks Bloo to edit it and when he does he puts in a lot of farting noises. After the principal watches the movie he tells Mac about the film festival and how he wants him to represent the school. Anyway from the Lauren exploring show to the movie they made this episode is great. I especially likes the part with the skateboarding baby friend.

What was up with that movie for Bloo's? They didn't use that matrix scene at all in that movie. I think Wilt is a bad actor and should not be a loud to act ever again. That movie was an insult to "Back to the Future", the old west, the hood, the art of CGI, the E.T. scene, and the song, All-Star.
  • Really good, but horrible in Bloo's view.

Bloo was just a stuck up jerkinator to Mac, asking him for money. Who could come up with 3 million bucks in one night? I felt so bad for Mac. People don't understand that the more bad episodes, the more I want Danny Phantom to cross with this show. But overall, the episode was pretty good.
  • Teaching us that having other's do the work for you does not pay off...

    8.7
    "Great"
The main storyline of this episode is that Mac has to make a movie for school and ends up asking Bloo to watch it for him. After Bloo ends up deeming it “boring”, he begs Mac to let him fix it for him. Even though Mac knows Bloo might mess it up, he lets him do it because it’s due the next day and he needs it improved fast. Bloo finally gives Mac back the tape and what Mac sees shocks him, Bloo has basically overdubbed the tape with farting sounds and his tape is sent to the principal. Mac becomes angered at Bloo and tells him to butt out of anything else he does. However, not only did the kids love it the principal did as well and wants him to make another one for the state’s elementary film festival. Mac proceeds to win back Bloo’s affections so that he can make another film, but Bloo isn’t having it. Eventually, the two make the movie together with Bloo as the director. The movie actually does not turn out to be half bad, from what we all see.

Although, this part of the plot had moments that were funny, like Coco doing the dying scene for the film and Bloo becoming a fanatical director who will do anything to make the best film possible, it was not the best one of the series. It seemed a little preposterous that Bloo could find a way to get Tom Hanks in the film and only for 3 seconds at that. I personally felt sorry for poor Mac as he had to basically sell everything he owned so he could make the film Bloo wanted. That was were some of the problem was for me that Mac was letting Bloo do whatever he wanted so he could have a great movie that he did not even make. I mean in some ways, Mac had it coming to him because he let Bloo make the changes to the first movie to start with.

Another problem I had was the whole “schembay” take-off. Now obviously, this was a take-off on the auction selling site, eBay but it made me wonder. How exactly was Mac supposed to sell on their without a credit card? I know it’s just a cartoon, but he shouldn’t be able to do it. Not to mention the fact the Mac only had a short amount of time to make the video and he was selling tons of items on there and receiving money for them, which also could not have happened. I guess the only reason it bothers me is because I buy items on eBay and have for years and I know how the system works. However, this show was made for people younger than me, so I really should not be bothered by the little quirks of this part of the episode. It was funny though that Madame Foster ending up buying all her stuff back that Mac sold on their and had no idea that it was hers to start with.

With all that being said, there was one part of this episode that I adored. I absolutely loved the little take-off they did on “Dora the Explorer” called “Lauren is Exploring”, it was flat out hysterical. It was also fun to see how Eduardo got upset when Bloo made him switch it off to watch the video he made. The fact that Eduardo actually wrote a letter to “Lauren” and the producers of the show made an episode about Eduardo’s “farting” problem was too freaking funny. It got even better when Eduardo taped over the end of Bloo’s, I mean Mac’s movie, with “Lauren the Explorer” which involved Eduardo’s special problem. These parts of the episode was sheer genius and brought a smile to my face.

In the end, I was glad that Bloo and Mac lost the competition because it taught a very valuable lesson. The lesson being that one should not let others do their work for them because nothing good can ever come from it. You will always get less than you expected and basically achieve nothing.

I like the part when Bloo changed the sounds of what Mac did on the video, that part is really funny. When Eduardo accidentally put the video in the tv and recorded what he was watching, in the film festival where alot of people were watching, they didn't like what Mac and Bloo made and they are so embarrased. That part was really funny. I hate the part when they didn't won the contest but that was ok and that was funny. I also like the part when the movie or film they have done started and their friends were acting. This episode is great!!!!!!!
  • Downright hilarious, but Bloo's behavior toward Mac unsettled me a little..

(note: I'm a strong Mac/Bloo fan, so this might be a little biased..)

Bloo was super jerky in the episode (for lack of a better word). He had the nerve to make his own creator beg and do jumping jacks while repeating a tongue twister even I still have trouble with. That was really mean of him. Yes, it's his personality, you may say, but I felt that during the Mac/Bloo scenes his...Blooness was overdone a little. Like I said before..I'm a Mac/Bloo fan so this hit me hard and stood out to me more than the rest of the episode.

I watched this 2-3 days ago, so I don't remember much else and thus have no further comments on THAT...

After that though, the rest of the episode went uphill. I give this episode an eight point five because it did make me laugh. This is the goal I hope each episode achieves each time the familiar Foster's theme song comes on. The matrix scene with Wilt and Coco left me in stitches because I'm a sucker for that kind of thing. Also, the ending scene was soo hilarious, with Bloo and his self-proclaimed allergy to tomatoes.

    And rejection! Can't forget rejection!

    Lastly..

The Lauren is Explorin' scenes throughout the episode were so hilarious. I still chuckle as I write this now, thinking about them..

    Great.
  • Bloo's allegry of tomatoes? This you gonna see.

I liked this episode. The only thing I didn't like was the end, it was bad and the only funny part, when the audience was throwing tomatoes at Bloo, he yelled "AHHHH! I'm allegric to tomatoes!" Bloo's twist to Mac's movie was funny and Bloo's butt-out movings were funny. That was a good episode.
  • Sometimes, spending a lot of money on a film doesn't get you anywhere, and it's actually the truth in the real world. Bloo and Mac discover it the hard way.

"One False Movie" begins with Mac doing a little bit of filmmaking -- filming some of the gang at Foster's. He filmed Eduardo, Coco, and Wilt. After a while, he wanted to show Bloo the film. After Mac gave Bloo a description of what was in it, Bloo became very uninterested. Even after he viewed Mac's film, he was not impressed, and he offered Mac to help him do an even better film. Although he agreed to Bloo's proposition, Mac wasn't too confident about what his friend was going to do.

The next day, it was the day that the children in Mac's class would be witnessing the film, and Mac was about to see what Bloo had done to it. Bloo simply edited the film by adding random farting noises, compliments of Bloo's armpits. Even though Mac felt totally embarrassed, the classmates and even the school principal loved it. Mac begged Bloo to assist him with the film for the film festival. Bloo declines early on, because (right before being sent to the principal's office) Mac told him not to help him with projects ever again. He eventually reversed the decision, when he told Mac to say a few things and do jumping jacks.

Bloo and Mac showed the rest of the Foster's gang the film, and all (except for Eduardo) were completely amused by it. Even though the gang tried to tell Ed about the flatulence sounds being just sound effects from Bloo's underarms, he still felt that he was at fault. Ed would eventually write a letter to "Lauren Is Exploring" (which is a parody to Nick Jr.'s "Dora the Explorer" and could be a reference to writer/producer Lauren Faust) about his supposed "pooting" problem. Eventually, Foster's Creator/Director, Craig McCracken (who I believe voiced himself as one of the guys behind "Lauren Is Exploring") would get the letter.

As for the film, it took a lot of money to get the film going, and Mac would have to do everything to raise the funds, even sell stuff from an eBay-esque site, called schMeBay. Why the big bucks? Well, the effects, baby -- and the little things, and he even brought Tom Hanks into the mix (that's $3 million there). So, in the film -- we caught numerous references, including Star Wars, James Bond, E.T., and when Wilt was singing, the rhythm and parts of the lyrics were a parody of the group Smash Mouth, and the song "All Star." The film was very intriguing, with some awesome performances by Wilt and Coco. The 3-D version of Eduardo was great, as well. Right when the E.T. parody began, the remainder of the film was taped over with "Lauren Is Exploring." This made Ed satisfied, but the crowd overwhelmingly booed Blooregard off the stage, tossing tomatoes at him.

At the end, Mac would probably have to pay Madame Foster back for selling her items, even though she bought additional items off of schMeBay -- not noticing her items were sold. As for Bloo, it appeared that he got screwed worse. I thought it was an outstanding episode -- quite funny. Even though I thought some of the flatulence jokes were overdone at times, I thought the usage of them towards Eduardo were executed perfectly, and adding the Dora parody made it even sweeter. We learn that Bloo can be one heck of a filmmaker, and I was amazed with what he can do, even though I would have loved to see the rest of it. Instead, it doesn't end well for him. For those that are hardcore Frankie fanatics, you might be feeling as if something is missing in the episode. Otherwise, this was quite entertaining, and this sends a message that money doesn't always mean that things will work in your favor.
  • Not bad, I guess.

After a 2 month hiatus, Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends returns, starting with this episode, "One False Movie".

The episode began when Mac makes a home movie about Foster's and his pals. Bloo, however, is convinced the tape isn't worth the watch, and edits it for his friend. At school, the entire class watch Mac's movie, and despite some new "additions", his school loves it, so much, that they demand a sequel to his home movie. Soon, however, Mac and Bloo tries to make their film the best yet-with disastrous results.

While I was thrill that I enjoy it, I do not consider this to be my favorite, but that doesn't mean I'll won't watch this.

With some sense of humor, some surprise guest and another spoof, "One False Movie" didn't do so bad, I guess.

    Next: Frankie vs Herriman.
  • Bound for the Oscars or the Razzies? I say neither.

    7.5

The current season of Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends so far has been one giant roller coaster with glorious high and embarassing lows. At the top of the former is "Go Goo Go" with the derangedly brilliant premise of an adorable new girl's overactive imagination, who at first looney turns out to be lonely and misunderstood. And on the other hand, there's "Impostor's Home For, Ummm... Make 'Em Up Pals", perhaps one of the most traumatic half-hours ever commited to animation and a vile sucker-punch to Frankie fans everywhere.

"One Major Movie" is among neither. Instead, it further adds to the clutter of good-but-not-classic episodes peppered in between the excellent and the wretched.

    The Michael Jordan:

-The major hit film Bloo creates(Not his tinkering with Mac's home video at the beginning) was not only really good, it's far better than 95% of what the real Hollywood churns out these days. Yes, that's mainly because of my hatred of cinema's current originality-bankrupt state, but the "film" actually has it's merits.

-Wilt kicked serious butt. After being so nice to everybody and having nothing to show for it, AT LAST he gets his chance to shine by playing... a tough, slick 007-like hero? Awesome.

-...and almost as awesome is Eduardo's pwnage, by taping over the end of the film. Heh.

-The Dora the Explorer parody was classic.

    -Camcordie and Oscar are cool.

    The Michael Jackson:

-Repeat after me: fart jokes are not cool. I muted the channel upon first hearing what Bloo did to Mac's home video. That's the main reason why I didn't give the episode a stellar rating.

-And I don't care how awesome the film was, Bloo was a complete jerk. I felt for Mac when he was pressured into selling his toy collection and the house's antiques. He was saved from the staff's wrath when he learned Madame Foster bought new antiques from the internet, but he's still left without his toys. Wow, Bloo sure's a great friend and influence. I really admire Mac's loyalty to that greedy, selfish blue blob.

-Frankie was hardly in the episode at all. All the other main characters got lines, but she simply appeared in the background without even speaking. But I can forgive that, since the next new episode seems to be centered on her... I'll get to it at the end of the review.

    -Was very slow in parts.

Overall: A fine episode that entertains as much as it offends--both only mildly.

My eyes are now fixed on next week's "Causing a President"--and from the premise, it'll likely be the third Frankie-centric episode, following on the heels of the classic "Frankie, My Dear" and the aforementioned debacle that was "Impostor's Home". As a huge Frankie fan myself, I'm crossing my fingers that it'll be closer to the former.
  • When Bloo edits Mac's video tape for school, it makes a hit. Pretty soon, the principle sees it, and Mac has a very important task of representing their school at a film festival.

Oh dear god. This was probably the funniest episode ever. With many parodies, and even Tom Hanks, this was a spectacular episode. I really liked how they made Craig McCracken in there, and I wonder if he did his own voice? The plot was very well written and funny. A very good episode to watch if you're down in the dumps, or if you like Tom Hanks. (If you're a Frankie fan, this episode will be disappointing, since Frankie has no dialogue what so ever.) Bloo seemed particularly bratty in this episode for some reason. However, I was a bit disappointed at the ending (or lack of).
