Bloo gets very jealous when Eduardo becomes "famous" for appearing on tv

As he wants to get fame and fortune

He signs with a producer named Ken

At first Bloo loves it and enjoys the attention

Later though he finds out that fame & fortune isn't what it's cracked up to be

In the end, he misses his friends and wants to be reunited with Mac

Mac at first, things Bloo is better off enjoying the fame and fortune

Until Bloo types a secret coded message

Wiii it be too late though?

This episode has to be my most faverite was because of the angst and any episode showering attention of Mac and Bloo is awesome in my book. The scene with the stars and "I Miss You" was the best. Plus there was Bloo being so desperate to see Mac again...kip hmm what can I say about kip I do admit there were times I wanted to hug him and times I wanted to strangle him but he was pretty a interesting character and I loved his facial expressions and lines

  • Sweet Stench of success is a great and funny episode and I enjoyed to watch it. The best!

This episode is great. A funny and drama episode. I like the part when Bloo and the gang were singing the song Deo. I felt sad for Bloo because he didn't eat anything when he became a star and he was just sleeping in a small cage, that was so bad. The best part was when the gang and the crews were fighting while singing the Deo song. A great and funny episode of Foster's and I enjoyed it. The best!
  • I love this episode!!

Sweet stench of Success is like one of my favourite episodes of Foster's Home for Imaginary friends ever!! It is so funny and cute and adorable and very very hilarious!! I mean Bloo looked so cute in the episode. I like this episode a lot and every time this episode comes on I make sure I watch it. Those phrases and stuff they say in the episode are also very funny like the one "Got the O get Deo!" , "What's the big Deo?" or "Deo with It!" I like this episode a lot just like I like a lot of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.
  • The middle of the episode seemed to drag.

I liked the idea of the episode at first, but it turned into something I've seen many times before, without adding much new jokes. A conflict arises from lack of communication, so the ending is predictable. Even so I did enjoy watching the events that lead up to the ending.

Many of the ways that some of the characters acted seems so out of character, and that added to the disappointment of the episode. I had hoped that they would be able to add new life into a tired storyline, but maybe they didn't try hard enough to do so.
  • Deo with it.

Bloo gets adopted by a HollyWood producer named Kip Snip. Bloo is whisked away to fame and fortune, but wants to go home. Kip will not let him. Mac then thinks that Bloo is in love with his stardom and is refusing to speak to the others. But soon realizes thta Bloo needs help. They disguise themselves as toiletries and try to help Bloo escape. Whta made me laugh was the songs that Deo kept singing. And i also liked the credits. Stupid ass docot kept on dancing. And also at the end when Eduardo did that commercial. Totally hilarious.
  • Deo brand deodorant only makes people smell WORSE! But the episode isn't bad.

This isnt one of my favourites as there want so much humor.

This episode had us seeing how Bloo can get jealous and how his relationship with Mac is special.

The humour in this episode impressed me ALOT, and the storyline was quite good. Bloo gets jealous of Coco, Wlit and Eduardo so he goes on a TV show and lies that he has no family. How desperate can he be? Then, Kip Snip, a advertiser (who looks alot like Professor Dick from the PowerPuff Girls episode "Knock It Off") came and took Bloo away and made him sign a contract (like how Bloo did in "Store Wars")

Mac was pretty lonely but after he heard Bloo calling for help, he and the imaginary friends came to rescue him and exposed and arrested Kip Snip. I believe Bloo's relation to the friends and Mac has developed alot in this episode.

Con artists usually get away with it but read my "My So-Called Wife" review for why they shouldnt. Overall, a good and interesting plot with not much humor.

This episode is the most emotional episode ever next to the pilot. Also this ep was great come back after the quality(or lack of!)of Squeakerboxx and Beat With A Schtick. I've went from laughing to crying and back to laughing in less than a second. And that Kip Snip is EVIL! E-V-I-L! And the ending was hilarious!Yet really, realy creepy..... Dislike this ep and I hate you.
  • This was an okay episode for series 2.

Many peopleb find this episode as their fave. episode but it wasn't really one of my favorites. The Sweet Stench Of Success was a good episode but the fact that Mac and Bloo broke up because of Kip Snip was kinda sad IMO.However I was so glad that this episode actually had a happy ending, unlike other episodes.Overall,a good but not great episode for Foster's.
  • I luv this episode so just Deo with it

SSOS is a brilliant episode that I personally feel was the best written in the entire series.

The other reviewers have likely touched on all the good parts, in fact, probably all the parts, so most of this will be repetitive.

SSOS is an episode in which Bloo seeks fame in fortune. When Bloo airs secretly on television in order to aquire the said things, he eventually gets his wish. Little does he know this leads to his own demise!

    MUHAHAHAHAHA!!!

    Sorry, couldn't contain myself. Anyway...

This episode is not only well-written and funny, but it also doubles as an astonishingly good musical.
  • This episode is sweet, and not a stench!

This episode is excellent. Unlike Squeakerboxxx, Beat With a Schtick, Bloooooo and Adoptcalypse Now this episode had a very happy ending. It was so funny and brilliant. I loved seeing Bloo and his friends dance away, and that evil pruder Kip Snip getting arrested for locking up Bloo and selling bad deoderant!

This ep is my second-favourite. It is the swetest episode ever and I love it! 9.9/10
  • This episode stinks of success...

Despite the missing title card at the beginning, 'Sweet Stench Of Success' was an episode I felt had nothing much else left out from it either.

It begins with the usual gang of imaginary friends crowded around the large television, as a truly hilarious Eduardo stars on the local news's 'Friday's Friend'. Naturally, Bloo sees Eduardo's TV appereance, and naturally, Bloo gets jealous, and makes an appearence on 'Friday's Friend' himself, and despite having Mac, acts as a sick and homeless imaginary friend, in need of adoption.

And then the friends watch hi, clearly gobsmacked, when he makes the remark to them back home. 'I bet a movie director will come to our door any minute: that would lead to a dramatic adventure!' The statement was fully correct, as the episode follows with drama and hilarity as promised.

Kip Snip comes to the door seconds later, and gives Bloo a so-called 'acting contract', before leaving to do some acting, and getting into his car, which is behind the limo Bloo was suspecting. He then acts on commericials for deodrant, taking the name Deo-this makes a certain imaginary friend (Deoder Ann) angry-and the anger from Mac, Wilt, Frankie, Coco and Eduardo is swept away.

After a days work, Bloo prepares to go home, but Kip Snip tells him otherwise, and he is forced to sleep in a cage. Meanwhile, whilst Bloo is told that he can't see Mac, Mac thinks that Bloo doesn't want to see him, and as he describes it, 'he saw nothing'.

What follows is a heartbreaking scene as Bloo and Mac look out of the window on a starry night, and have flashbacks of Bloo pushing Mac to the ground, and a warming scene of them putting ketchup on a sandwich incredibly slowly. And before they know it, the message 'I miss you' is written in the stars, followed by 'That was weird'.

The next day is 'Deo's Variety Hour', and Mac is reluctant to watch with his refreshed anger with Bloo. Bloo decides to call for help, and sings songs such as 'Kip Snip won't let me go', the 'Somebody Save Me' magic show, and a very funny 'Doctor, Doctor' joke time, where Bloo and the Doctor perform a small ritual dance after every punchline.

And then comes the tapdance, which Mac hears, and discovers is morse code, translating to 'Help me, help me, help me, Mac.' The four of them-Coco, Eduardo, Mac and Wilt-quickly get to the variety hour show backstage, and blend in with the backing singers, who are dressed as toiletry products.

As Bloo sings-and rather terrible singing, it is-another song, around a sink based set, a fight between the backing singers and his friends takes place. Sure enough, the friends win in the end, and save Bloo, when Kip Snip is arrested for 'false advertisinmg.' Not anything about trapping Bloo in a cage, and denying him of food.

False advertising. A little bit of a plot hole, considering they say he'll be in jail for life. That's right, for false advertising.

Then Eduardo sings a couple of lines about potatoes, and it ends, the credits the little routine of the doctor's dancing. My personal favourite credits.

This episode shows a bond between Mac and Bloo, and more emotion then other episodes. It's more of a complex and detailed story, and filled with some great scenes-my favourite being Bloo's sitcom: 'What's The Big Deo?'. My favourite episode to date definatley, which is good, considering that I didn't think much good better 'Mac Daddy'.

Two words to describe this episode: a success.

Bloo, after seeing Edwardo appear on the Friday's Friend section of the news trying to get adopted, goes down to the news station pretending to be a sick friend in need of adoption to get on T.V.

a talent agent see's him and has him sign contracts to be a "celebrity". bloo ends up acting as a deoderant stick to premote deo brand deoderent. when bloo tries to go home the agent tells him the contract he signed was actually adoption papers so bloo makes a desprate attempt to call his friends for help. one of the best episodes in the series, hillarious and well written!

    Bloo: Got B.O.? Get Deo!
  • 'Deo' with dis episode. One of the most moving episodes since the Pilot movie.

    9.4
    "Superb"
I must say that this is one my favorite episodes. "The Sweet Stench of Success" moved me more than any episode since the Pilot movie. Yeah, it contained some humorous moments. This episode, however, contained some dramatic moments. When Bloo wanted to be on television, he ended up getting more than what he had asked for.

After airing many commercials of Bloo as "Deo" the anti-perspirant deodorant stick, making appearances, etc., Bloo was getting tired and missed being with Mac and friends. Unfortunately for Bloo, he had signed all the documents, including the one saying that he had been adopted to Kip, the producer. Kip also wasn't treating our favorite blue mischievous imaginary friend (who wasn't all that mischievous in this one) very fairly.

Thinking Bloo only enjoys all the fame and glory, Mac believes that Bloo doesn't love him anymore. Then, he hears some tapping.....Bloo created a morse code message live during a musical, transmitting the message "Help me, Mac." Mac realizes that Bloo is in trouble, and he, Wilt, Eduardo, and Coco went for the rescue.

The Deo commercials, the musical, they were some of the funny moments in the episode. Potatoes, potatoes, potatoes! The whole potato thing at the end with Ed was really both amusing and scary at the same time. Quinn (the pizza guy from "Frankie My Dear) made a cameo in this one)...being one of those people realizing that Deo doesn't really work.

Anyhoo, this episode was fantastic because of the blend of dramatic and comedic moments. No episode has to be entirely funny to be really enjoyable. This one was.
