      • This show was the inagural telecast from NBC's brand new studios in Burbank, California, especially designed for telecasting. Construction on the sight was started just months earlier, back in April. The 48-acre center features studios holding audiences of 500 people. CBS was determined to get the jump on NBC and grab the bragging rights by telecasting an episode of the series My Friend Irma from their uncompleted Television City complex the night before.
