Fox News Channel is adding to its multiplatform strategy with two daily video products called Fox News Flash.
The flash is a 60-second newscast, one in the morning done by Fox & Friends and another in the afternoon by The Fox Report With Shepard Smith. It's available on FoxNews.com, MySpace, and iTunes, as well as to Cingular and Amp'd customers with video capability.
The flash is just that: A fast-paced newscast much like The Fox Report that offers the news of the day and offbeat stories.
Fox News vp digital media Jeremy Steinberg said the goal is to drive awareness of the Fox News Channel as well as attract a younger audience and meet the news needs of MySpace users.

One of Fox News Channel's rising stars jumped to CNN on Friday after a lightning-fast turn of events that led Fox News to tell her agent that it wasn't interested in keeping her.
Kiran Chetry, who had been a Fox News anchor since 2001, was signed Friday by CNN about an hour after Fox News sent a fax to her agent, John Ferriter, releasing her from her contract that was to expire March 6.
Chetry had had discussions with other networks but seemed closer to reupping with Fox News, sources said. The negotiations, which lasted more than a month, ran aground late Thursday over a clause that Chetry wanted to include in the contract regarding the future of Fox & Friends, the channel's morning show.
