When Gobo finds Doc's new radio (courtesy of Sprocket putting it into the hole in the wall), the messages that come from it threaten to destroy the unity of the Fraggles.
Wembley can never make up his mind, until he gets Convincing John to help him. Doc has to fix the plumbing again, but decides to use a more positive attitude about it.
Red wants to be the leader, so she decides to start a club. When the idea takes off without her, Red finds herself with a club consisting of herself and Cotterpin Doozer. Sprocket wants to start a club for dogs, but Doc keeps eliminating potential members.
Flange and Modem Doozer get involved in a building competition (something the Doozers haven't had for many years). Sprocket preps to fight a new dog in the neighborhood.
The Wizard, the shiftiest Fraggle in the Rock, has an ulterior motive in trading identities with Wembley. Doc and Sprocket toy with a magician's old trunk full of magic tricks.
While Doc is too busy trying to get an old ring that gets stuck on his finger off, Sprocket gets stuck in the hole between Outer Space and Fraggle Rock and Gobo has to help him.

Wembley tries to take care of a baby Tree Creature when its egg falls down the well and into the Fraggle Pond. Doc buys a new book and is completely interested in it, forgetting Sprocket's birthday.
Nobody thinks Mokey is good at practical things, so she tries to deal with Junior Gorg's Fraggle trap herself. Doc and Sprocket have a falling out when Doc gets grumpy over having the hiccups.
Gobo thinks he's lost his nerve and decides not to be an explorer anymore. Doc decides to give up inventing and return to his old profession of being a barber.
Fraggle Rock is under attack from two sides when Sprocket tries to smash his way in, and Junior Gorg tries to pulverize it. Doc is searching for his missing rent money.
The Trash Heap decides to teach the Fraggles, Doozers and Gorgs a lesson by magically making all the radishes in the Gorg's garden disappear. Angry over a practical joke, Doc ends his friendship with Mr. Shimmelfinny.
The Fraggles meet the band of traveling musicians known as The Minstrels, led by the mysterious and wise Cantus. Everyone must find their own song, but Red is having a lot of trouble with hers. Doc builds a unique doorbell system made up of various household objects.

Gobo and Red find a map that leads to the Ancient Treasure of the Fraggles. Doc and Sprocket work on opening an old trunk that Doc purchased at a rummage sale.
Wembley accidentally finds the legendary Terrible Tunnel, but nobody believes him. Meanwhile, Doc and Sprocket argue over a horseshoe that Sprocket found.
Mokey decides that eating Doozer constructions hurts their feelings, so she gets Convincing John to help her get the Fraggles to stop. Doc decides to try an old idea of his from his diary.
Red's Swimming Extravaganza is canceled when the Pool goes dry and there's no water to fill it, and Pa Gorg cannot have his royal bath due to a water shortage, all resulting from Doc's working on the plumbing.
Wembley agrees with everyone, including the Gorgs, who decide he makes a great loyal subject. Doc wins an award and leaves Sprocket in the care of a neighbor, much to Sprocket's dismay.
A kindly inventor named Doc and his dog, Sprocket, move into an old workshop, where Gobo's Uncle Matt discovers the opening to Outer Space and sets off to explore it, leaving Gobo behind to explore Fraggle Rock and pick up the postcards Matt will send.
