  • Quotes

    • Bear: You can always plan on having fun, no matter what.

    • Franklin: I guess only a caterpillar knows when he's gonna turn into a butterfly.
Bear: And nobody can tell clouds what to do.

    • Franklin: Come on, Bear. At least one thing has to go the way we planned it.

    • Bear: Never play tug of war with a tree. They always win.

    • Narrator: Franklin could count by twos and tie his shoes. He liked planning fun things to do on a sunny day, but one day he realized that things don't always work out exactly as planned.

    • Snail: Are you okay, Franklin?
Franklin: I'm fine. I don't need Bear. I have lots of friends. You're my friend.
Snail: That's true. But Bear was your best friend.

    • Bear: If you won't believe me, then maybe we shouldn't be best friends anymore!
Franklin: You're right! Maybe we shouldn't be best friends anymore!
      Bear: Fine then!
      Franklin: Fine!

    • Snail: Hey, guys, how about we draw some happy faces? (Bear and Franklin ignore this, and each other.) Um, I think maybe I'll join a table where things are a little happier.

    • Bear: I told you, Franklin. I never even saw your Carl Cougar card.
Franklin: But you must have had it. I just wish you had been more careful with my stuff.
Bear: Your stuff? Look at my stuff. It's all over the room!

    • Narrator: Franklin could count by twos and tie his shoes. He liked to collect stamps and he liked to collect rocks too. But one of the things he was most proud of was his soccer card collection.
